Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Trojans shutout in road loss at Holy Cross

NOTRE DAME, Ind. --- The TIU women's soccer team took the trip to north-central Indiana on Saturday morning as they faced off against the Saints of Holy Cross College (IN) in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) play. Following a scoreless tie at St. Francis on Tuesday, the Trojans entered the week in search of a crucial win to aid in their push for the CCAC Tournament in November.

Trinity would put pressure on Saints goalkeeper Taylor Primack, but could put any shots past her into the nets. Kate Jung would lead TIU's attack with five shot attempts with three shots on goal, while Kailynd Tubb put three shots on goal of her own.

Holy Cross would crack the scoreboard first in the 22nd minute as Nicole Cook scored on an assist by Olivia Shaw. Later in the second half, Shaw connected with Riley Chapla off a corner kick to put the Saints ahead by two. The Trojans would only get three shot attempts off in the final ten minutes as they fell to HCC by a 2-0 final.
