BANNOCKBURN, Ill. --- The TIU Trojans jumped back into CCAC conference play last night after a weekend trip to Tennessee for the NAIA "The Show" Classic. Traveling to Bourbonnais to face the Tigers of Olivet Nazarene, the Trojans ultimately came up short with a 90-78 loss.

While the Trojans scored first, the remainder of the game they were unable to keep up with the Tiger's offense; shooting 47% from the floor and only 30% of their three-pointers, they struggled to create a consistent run of attack until late in the second half when they went on a 7-2 run. Throughout the game the Trinity offense created more turnovers than they gave, and were able to convert on many of them.

During the initial minutes of the second half, the Trojans looked to make a comeback but continued to struggle throughout the half giving up costly rebounds under the net. TIU's bench would contribute nearly half the team's total points as offensive stalwart, Brandon McQueen, was held to single digit points by ONU's defense. With McQueen's absence on the scoreboard, freshman Jaden Thomas stepped up as the team's leading scorer, sinking a career high 20 points.

• The Trojans fall to 4-15 all-time against Olivet Nazarene after Wednesday evening's loss
• This was the first match of the season where Trinity was held to less than 80 points
• Trinity's six losses this season have come in allowing at least 90 points
• TIU beat the Tigers at the free throw line shooting over 85%
• Jaden Thomas' 20 points against the Tigers were a new career-high, breaking his previous record of fifteen
