BANNOCKBURN, Ill. --- Over the weekend the Trojans hosted the Fighting Bees of Saint Ambrose in their latest conference matchup. Coming into the match with an overall 5-6 record, Trinity looked to balance their record book with a win over the Bees. At the final whistle, their efforts were rewarded with a 92-88 victory.
Trinity started the game with a couple of 3-pointers by
Brandon McQueen and
Diamond Presniakovas as they went up 12-7. Throughout the half, the Trojans would shoot over 55% from the field with almost thirty total shots. Leading the way for the Trojans after a tough game at Olivet, McQueen dropped 12 points and provided 3 assists in the first half.
During the second half the Trojans continued their offensive threats with McQueen adding another 16 points, and
Kyonte Thomas and
Leon Williams each joining in with 8 as well. The Trojans would shoot over 50% again from the field, while increasing their free throw accuracy from the first half to 75%.
Defensively, the Trojans were all over the Fighting Bees as they created 15 turnovers, 15 steals and had 21 defensive rebounds. Williams tied his third-highest game of defensive rebounds contributing five to the Trojans total. As a team, their defensive efforts alone added 26 points to their score.

- Brandon McQueen had his third highest scoring game of the season with 28 points. The senior from Cleveland, Ohio also tied his career record of 2 blocks in a game.
- Leon Williams tied his third-highest game of defensive rebounds with 5 against the Bees
- Kyonte Thomas went 3-3 behind the arc, a new career-high
- Diamond Presniakovas had a career- high 2 assists and 1 block
