WATERTOWN, Wisc. --- Last night the Trojans traveled to Watertown, Wisconsin to compete against the Sabercats of Maranatha Baptist University in a non-conference matchup. Looking to turn the corner from Saturday's loss, the Trojans came out strong and left MBU Gymnasium with a convincing 76-43 victory.
Trading baskets early in the first quarter, the Trojans and Sabercats were tied 12-12 with three minutes to go. Freshman
Aniyjha Graves would drop two consecutive  3-pointers and junior
Carly Scheblo added a layup to bring the Trojans ahead 20-13 going into the second quarter.
The Sabercats opened the second quarter with a layup bringing the Trojan's lead down to five. That would be the closest the scoreline would become for the remainder of the game as Trinity pulled away, following that layup with an 11-0 run on the scoreboard.
After the break, the Trojan's dominance continued, putting up another 24 points and nearly doubling the Sabercats, 62-33 by the quarter's end.
Taylor Hibicke led the way with 10 points and six rebounds while
Alina Jahnke added another eight points to their growing lead.
In the fourth quarter, Trinity cruised to victory with 14 points, 11 rebounds and three steals. The Trojans maintained control under the basket with 40 total rebounds on the night, scoring 20 points off of second chances.
