Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Trinity rolls past Redhawks on senior day

WAUKEGAN, Ill. --- The TIU women's soccer team hosted the Redhawks of Indiana University-Northwest on Saturday in non-conference action at the Waukegan Sports Park. Having fallen to 20th-ranked Trinity Christian in a tough match on Wednesday, the Trojans looked to rebound with a much needed win as the program honored their four senior players.

TIU's seniors would make an impact in the game as Lauren Henn would mark her spot in the books just five minutes into the game as Kailynd Tubb found Henn for the Trojan's first goal of the day. Just three minutes later, Abigail Olsson would dribble across the penalty box and finish a shot to extend the Trojans lead to two. Just a couple minutes later, Payton Siragusa would stamp her mark in the match with a pass from Henn to put another goal into the net for a 3-0 lead. Centerback Kalie Rice would also get in on the action as a poor clearance would set her up with a shot in the top corner in the 27th minute to put the Trojans up 4-0.

In the second half, Cameron Hunter would immediately find the back of the net in the 49th minute as Henn would lay the ball to Hunter for the finish and TIU's fifth score of the afternoon. Hunter would notch another goal 20 minutes later, assisted by Henn once again. Shayne Busick would make her mark as the last senior in the match to score, assisted by Henn for her fourth assist on the day. Freshman Morgan Busick would cap the scoring after a penalty would give her the free shot on goal, finishing off Trinity's dominant offensive afternoon for the 8-0 rout.
