The Trinity International University men's basketball team will have a unique playing opportunity this coming fall as they will participate in the 2021 NAIA "The Show" Classic. The Trojans will be one of 16 teams competing in the event at the MeadowView Marriott in Kingsport, Tennessee from November 26-28, 2021.

The Trojans were originally slated to play in the event in 2020, but were forced to withdraw due to the delayed start of the 2020-21 season by COVID-19.

The field, as announced by tournament director Ken French on Thursday, is as follows.

*Rochester (Mich.) - 13-4 (Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic)

*Columbia International (S.C.) - 16-9 (Appalachian Athletic)

*Central Methodist (Mo.) - 11-13 (Heart of America)

*Central Baptist (Ark.) - 19-7 (American Midwest)

*Trinity International (Ill.) - 10-8 (Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic)

*Washington Adventist (Md.) - N/A (Independent)

*Bluefield (Virg.) - 7-15 (Appalachian Athletic)

Three teams that are scheduled to participate in the 2021 event finished last season receiving votes in the final NAIA coaches poll (Warner, Rochester, Ave Maria), while Columbia International finished as semifinalists at the 2021 NCCAA Division I National Tournament.

The Trojans finished the 2020-21 season with a final record of 10-8, and 5-7 mark in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) play while finishing as CCAC Tournament quarter finalists.
