Trinity shuts out Judson in finale

CRYSTAL LAKE, Ill. --- The TIU women's soccer team wrapped up their 2020-21 regular season on Saturday afternoon as they visited the Judson Eagles at the McHenry Athletic Complex in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) play. Coming off a thrilling 2-1 overtime victory over Olivet Nazarene on Wednesday, the Trojans looked to close out the season with another win and help solidify their position for the upcoming conference tournament.

While the Trojans didn't see an overly high number of opportunities on goal, they did take advantage of the ones they got, starting with Payton Siragusa breaking the scoreless deadlock in the 26th minute on a rebound off the Judson post to take a 1-0 lead. In the second half, freshman Morgan Busick put TIU up two in the 57th minute from five yards out on an assist from Abigail Olsson.

Cameron Hunter would put the final touches on the impressive win in the 63rd minute as she scored Trinity's third goal of the afternoon on her own rebound off an Eagles defender. Trojan goalkeeper Sarah Davis would be tested all day with six shots on goal, but was able to keep Judson off the scoreboard to help preserve the 3-0 shutout for TIU.
