TIU drops to Saint Ambrose on the road

DAVENPORT, Iowa — Last night the Trojans traveled across the border for a late night Saturday game against the Fighting Bees of Saint Ambrose University. The fellow CCAC opponent handed them defeat despite a tough battle, losing 49-84.

Leading the way on offense, Da'Naria Washington, the trusty Trojan point guard, put up 14 points while handing out four assists and shooting perfect from the charity line. Beneath the basket, power forward and center, Jakyah Amous secured seven rebounds, while sophomore Audree Peck trailed close behind with six.

The Trojans banked 22 points from the paint, with players coming from the bench to combine for 19 on the board.

TIU(2-9) takes a break in conference play as the Magicians of LeMoyne-Owen College come to Van Dixhorn next weekend for a 1:00pm tip-off.
