SOUTH BEND, IND. --- The Trojans traveled to Indiana for a second time yesterday, where they battled in a CCAC matchup against the Titans of Indiana University at South Bend. Despite a hard fought game, Trinity dropped to IUSB, 61-38.

At the fifth minute, the Trojans were down by eight points until Amber Reynolds dropped a 3-pointer to bring the score 5-10. The Titans continued to pull ahead but before the quarter ended, Taylor Hibicke and Da'Naria Washington countered with three layups, closing the scoreline to 16-11 Titans. 

The Trojans fought in the second quarter, beginning the first minute defensively strong as Alina Jahnke had two rebounds, two turnovers, and one block. Daniella Lopez and Da'naria answered the Titan's lead by dropping 4 points to tie the match 16-16. In the sixth minute, Da'Naria dropped a 3-pointer, bringing TIU back on the board at 19-16 Trojans. The second quarter ends with the Titans pushing back with a six-point differential at 27-21.

Trailing by 14 points in the third quarter, the Trojans ended the quarter with back to back layups to cut the Titan's lead to ten points. As the game continued, Trinity tried to close the gap but failed to sustain any offensive pressure, scoring only five points in the final quarter. At the final whistle, the Titans defeated the Trojans.

Additional Game Notes

• Yesterday's match up was the 19th meeting between Trinity International and IU South Bend. The final score brings the Trojans 9-14 overall and 5-13 in the CCAC. 
• Da'Naria Washington had a season high of 20 overall points in the game.

This Monday the Trojans (9-14) host the Sabercats of Maranatha Baptist University in non-conference play. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30pm CT at the Van Dixhorn Arena with the game being streamed LIVE on the Trojan Sports Network.
