TIU comes up short against Cardinal Stritch

MILWAUKEE, Wisc. --- On the road for the first time in a couple of weeks, the Trojans hit the highway north to face off with the Wolves of Cardinal Stritch. Trinity found a rhythm after a lackluster first quarter, but it wouldn't be enough as they dropped 52-79 to their CCAC foe.

Sophomore Audree Peck continued to shine for the Trojans, leading the team with 12 points and six rebounds. The small forward dropped a season best 2-2 from the perimeter and shot 5-7 from the field. Following close behind, Da'Naria Washington sank nine points with six rebounds while Saskia Stegbauer and Ashely Giesler shared eight points each.

TIU is currently averaging 53.1 points per game with 39.8 rebounds, pairing down to 12 offensive and 29 defensive. Washington leads the team in points, averaging 12.5 per game while Peck leads in rebounds with 7.9 per outing.

The Trojans (2-13) take a trip to Bourbonnais this weekend for another CCAC clash with the Tigers of Olivet Nazarene University. Tip off is scheduled for 1:00pm on Saturday, January 7th at McHie Arena.
