Thomas selected for NCCAA All-Region

GREENVILLE, S.C. — The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) has released their all-region selections for the North Central region. After qualifying for their first NCCAA National Tournament since the 2015-16 season, the Trojans placed one student-athlete on the All-Region team as Kyonte Thomas garnered recognition.

Thomas, a sophomore from Bolingbrook, Illinois, earned his first all-region selection after a fantastic follow-up season to a stand-out freshman year. With nearly 1,000 minutes played, Thomas averages 12 points, 5.7 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game. The six foot point guard leads the team in assists per game, breaking the TIU single game record for most assists (2/18/23, 15 assists) as well as holds the TIU single season record with 164 dimes. In his two year career, Thomas has recorded 586 points, dished out 286 assists and grabbed 224 rebounds. He led the CCAC in assists and steals, while ranking nationally in the same. He ranked 4th in steals and 11th in assists.
