KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The TIU men's volleyball program has received their first NAIA Scholar-Athlete designation. 

Graduate student Soren Halvorson has been named an NAIA Scholar-Athlete. This is his first selection for the award from the NAIA as he progresses towards a Master of Divinity.

To receive the scholar-athlete title from the NAIA, a student must have a 3.5 cumulative GPA, as well as have been at their respective institution for at least one academic year as a sophomore or above.
