 • Trinity International looks to continue their hot streak at the plate, with a three-game series against the defending CCAC Tournament champion Judson Eagles beginning on Friday afternoon. The Trojans host the Eagles for a single-game match up at 2:00 p.m., before heading to Judson for a doubleheader on Saturday.

 • The Trojans are coming off a doubleheader sweep over Indiana-South Bend on Wednesday, outscoring the Titans 29-12 over both games. The Eagles split a pair of home games with Olivet Nazarene last Tuesday.
 • Senior right fielder Jon Debowey has led TIU at the plate so far this season, hitting a team-high .453. His slash line of .453/.521/.703 is the highest in all three categories for the Trojans.
 • Freshman pitcher Jiri Vavrusa has posted the team's lowest ERA to date this year, at 2.86. The Prague, Czech Republic native has a 3-0 record through three starts on the mound.
 • Senior A.J. Bruner is tied for the CCAC lead in wins, with a 6-2 record. Bruner has made eight starts this year, and has earned a 3.42 ERA through 52.2 innings, most recently securing the first of two wins over Indiana-South Bend.
• Shortstop Jeff Lindberg has reached base safely in the last 17 consecutive games, the longest streak for a TIU player this season. Lindberg will also enter play Friday with a seven-game hitting streak, currently the longest hit streak on the team.
 • The Trojans have posted three saves out of the bullpen this season, with freshman Zachary Haning picking up two, in wins over Rochester (Mich.) on Mar. 10, and St. Xavier on Mar. 19. Haning has pitched 5.1 innings with a 0.00 ERA to date.
 • The Trojans' 13 victories so far this season has already surpassed last season's win total, and is the most wins in a single season in five years, when TIU went 20-25 during the 2011 campaign.
Series vs. Judson
 • Friday will be the 33rd meeting between the Trojans and Eagles since 2006, with Judson holding a 22-10 record in those previous matchups.
 • Trinity has taken one of three over Judson in the past two seasons, but the Eagles swept the season series over TIU in 2012 and 2013.
Player of the Week
 • Senior pitcher A.J. Bruner was selected as the CCAC Pitcher of the Week on Mar. 16, earning the league's first weekly award of the season. Bruner was also named the NCCAA National Pitcher of the Week for the first time in his career.
 • The Evansville, Ind. native threw two seven-inning complete games, leading the Trojans to victories over Penn State-Beaver and Rochester (Mich.). In his two outings, Bruner allowed just one earned run for a 0.64 ERA, striking out 10 batters while walking two.
Conference Leaders
 • As a team, the Trojans boast the second-highest batting average in the CCAC this season, hitting at a .301 clip. Trinity ranks fifth in on-base percentage, at .379.
 • On the mound, TIU ranks 6th in the CCAC with a 4.53 ERA, and has 94 strikeouts, good for 8th in the league.
 • Senior pitcher A.J. Bruner currently leads the CCAC with 52.2 innings pitched. Bruner is the league leader with six wins, and is 2nd in the league with 36 strikeouts.
 • Outfielder Jon Debowey is 2nd in the CCAC with a .453 batting average. The senior also has eight doubles at the plate this year, tied for 4th in the conference. His on base percentage ranks 2nd, at .521, and his slugging percentage is 4th-best in the CCAC, at .703.
• Jon Grotelueschen is among the league's best at the plate as well. The senior center fielder is tied for 4th in the CCAC in walks (13), 7th in base hits (29), and tied for 6th in RBI (21).
Last Time Out
 • The Trinity International hitters struck early and often on a cold and rainy Wednesday, tallying 29 runs on 29 hits in a doubleheader sweep over the Indiana-South Bend Titans. The Trojans took a 14-5 victory in the first game of the day, before winning a shortened 5-inning affair that was called due to darkness, 15-7.
 • Right fielder Jon Debowey had the highlight in both games, hitting two home runs on the day while going 2-for-4 at the plate in each contest, driving in a combined seven RBI. Nine Trojans posted multi-hit games between both games, while shortstop Jeff Lindberg had the team's lone four-hit performance in game two, going 4-for-4 with two RBI and four runs scored.
 • On the mound, senior A.J. Bruner picked up his sixth victory of the year, pitching four innings of game one with three earned runs allowed. Joshua Crist came on in relief, striking out four over the final three innings to secure his first career save.
 • Gomski retired the first seven batters as the Trojans' starter in game two, finishing with three earned runs allowed over four innings with four strikeouts.
Trojans in the PollsÂ
• TIU Baseball dropped out of the NCCAA National Rankings this week, after moving into the No. 10 spot in the poll on Mar. 16.
• The ranking was the Trojans' first appearance in the NCCAA poll since 2010. Trinity reached as high as No. 4 in the national rankings on Mar. 30, 2010, after starting the season 15-8.
• The Trojans are have yet to earn a spot in the NAIA Coaches' Poll, dating back to the poll's debut in 1998.
TIU Baseball History
• Since 2006, Trinity Baseball has an all-time record of 184-275 (.401). The Trojans have two winning seasons during that span, in 2007 (28-20) and in 2010 (30-23).
• Trinity's last appearance in the CCAC Tournament came in 2011, when the Trojans reached the CCAC Championship game, ultimately falling to St. Francis.
• The Trojans made three straight appearances in the NCCAA Tournament from 2005-07, their last appearances in the national tourney.
Last Time vs. Judson
 • Trinity overcame a blowout loss in the opener last season to split a doubleheader with Judson during the three-game series on Apr. 3-4, 2015.
 • The Eagles secured a 16-2 win on their home field on Apr. 3, before the Trojans responded with a 2-1 win in game two. Despite an early lead, Trinity International fell to the Eagles in the rubber match as Judson scored seven runs in the eight and ninth to take a 15-4 win.
