 • Trinity International continues the current three-game homestand on Wednesday, when they host the Trinity Christian Trolls for a doubleheader starting at 1:30 p.m.

 • The Trojans looking to get back on track, following a 3-1 home loss to Olivet Nazarene on Monday. TIU dropped both ends of a two-game set to the Tigers, and are on a three-game slide.
 • Senior right fielder Jon Debowey has led TIU at the plate so far this season, hitting a team-high .396. His slash line of .396/.446/.604 is the highest in all three categories for the Trojans.
 • Senior A.J. Bruner is tied for the CCAC lead in wins, with a 6-4 record. Bruner has made a conference-high ten starts and pitched 68.0 innings this year to lead the league, while posting a team-best 3.84 ERA.
• Bruner got the start on Monday against Olivet Nazarene, pitching seven innings without allowing an earned run, while striking out a career-high nine batters. The Evansville, Ind. native ranks 2nd in the CCAC with 50 strikeouts this season.
• Senior Drake Maltry has a 4.82 ERA through 37.1 innings pitched this season, including a solid performance in his last start, at Judson on Mar. 26. Maltry worked around nine hits, allowing a pair of runs in a tough 2-1 loss to the Eagles.
 • Freshman pitcher Jiri Vavrusa has had a strong debut season in Deerfield, with a 3-1 record and 6.82 ERA through seven appearances. The Prague, Czech Republic native took his first collegiate loss in Bourbonnais against the Tigers on Saturday.
 • Shortstop Jeff Lindberg has reached base safely in the last 24 consecutive games, the longest streak for a TIU player this season. Adam Gomski held a 27-game streak from the end of 2015 to the first three games of this season's Florida swing.
 • Senior Jon Grotelueschen currently holds the team's longest hitting streak, at five games. The center fielder has hit 7-for-21 (.333) during that stretch.
 • The Trojans have posted four saves out of the bullpen this season, with freshman Zachary Haning picking up three, in wins over Rochester (Mich.) on Mar. 10, St. Xavier on Mar. 19, and most recently at Purdue-Calumet on Mar. 29. Haning has pitched 9.0 innings with a 3.00 ERA, the lowest in the TIU bullpen.
 • The Trojans' 14 victories so far this season has already surpassed last season's win total, and is the most wins in a single season in five years, when TIU went 20-25 during the 2011 campaign.
Series vs. TCCÂ Â Â
 • The Trojans and Trolls have met up 32 times since the 2006 season, the most games against any Trinity opponent over that span.
 • Trinity Christian holds a 24-8 lead in the series.
 • The Trojans swept a doubleheader on Oct. 9, 2015, snapping an eight-game win streak for Trinity Christian that stretched back to 2014.
Last Time vs. TCCÂ Â Â
 • With the final appearance of the fall, Trinity International took a pair of victories in a doubleheader sweep over the Trinity Christian Trolls on Oct. 9. The Trojans never trailed in either game, taking the first by a score of 5-2, and winning game two 8-4.
 • A.J. Bruner picked up his third win of the season, throwing a complete game in the opener and striking out five while allowed just two runs. Adam Gomski earned the win in game two, giving up just one run and no hits through four innings.
 • Jon Debowey finished a combined 5-for-6 on the day, including a 3-for-3 performance in the first game. Justin VanderNaald, Josh Crist, and Michael Balistreri each collected two RBI apiece.
Player of the Week  Â
 • Shortstop Jeff Lindberg was recognized for the first career time, earning the CCAC Player of the Week award on Tuesday.
 • Over four games last week, Lindberg hit for a .643 average, as the Trojans went 2-2 in a pair of doubleheaders against Indiana-South Bend and Judson. The junior had two or more base hits in three games, including a career-high four hits in Trinity's 15-7 win over the Titans on Mar. 23.
 • Senior pitcher A.J. Bruner was selected as the CCAC Pitcher of the Week on Mar. 16, earning the league's first weekly award of the season. Bruner was also named the NCCAA National Pitcher of the Week for the first time in his career.
 • The Evansville, Ind. native threw two seven-inning complete games, leading the Trojans to victories over Penn State-Beaver and Rochester (Mich.). In his two outings, Bruner allowed just one earned run for a 0.64 ERA, striking out 10 batters while walking two.
Conference Leaders     Â
 • The Trojans hold the third-highest batting average in the CCAC this season, hitting at a .309 clip as a team. Trinity also ranks fifth in the league in slugging percentage, at .390, and sixth in on-base percentage, at .381.
 • On the mound, TIU ranks 9th in the CCAC with a 5.84 ERA, and has 124 strikeouts, tied for 8th in the league.
Last Time Out     Â
 • Senior pitcher A.J. Bruner struck out nine batters over seven innings of work, but a few key misplays in the field allowed the visiting Olivet Nazarene Tigers to take a 3-1 win on Monday afternoon, at a cold and snowy TIU Baseball Field.
 • Bruner scattered four hits and didn't allow an earned run on the day, while Jeremiah Carter and Zachary Haning combined to give up a single hit out of the bullpen.
 • Jeff Lindburg recorded his 24th consecutive game in which he reached base safely, while posting the team's best day at the plate finishing 3-for-5 on the day. Jon Grotelueschen also put in a multi-hit performance, going 2-for-4.
Trojans in the Polls   Â
 • TIU Baseball dropped out of the NCCAA National Rankings last week, after moving into the No. 10 spot in the poll on Mar. 16.
 • The ranking was the Trojans' first appearance in the NCCAA poll since 2010. Trinity reached as high as No. 4 in the national rankings on Mar. 30, 2010, after starting the season 15-8.
 • The Trojans are have yet to earn a spot in the NAIA Coaches' Poll, dating back to the poll's debut in 1998.
TIU Baseball History     Â
 • Since 2006, Trinity Baseball has an all-time record of 185-281 (.397). The Trojans have two winning seasons during that span, in 2007 (28-20) and in 2010 (30-23).
 • Trinity's last appearance in the CCAC Tournament came in 2011, when the Trojans reached the CCAC Championship game, ultimately falling to St. Francis.
 • The Trojans made three straight appearances in the NCCAA Tournament from 2005-07, their last appearances in the national tourney.
