This Week  Â
 • A busy week lies ahead for Trinity International, with five matches over a five-day span, beginning with a road trip to Cardinal Stritch on Tuesday night. The Trojans will then compete at the Clarke (Iowa) Tournament, beginning on Friday.
 • Streaming video will be available for Tuesday's match, at TIUTrojans.com. During the tournament, Trinity's match with Clarke on Saturday morning will have video and live stats.

 • Trinity will go for their second straight win to kick off the week, after a five-set victory over Robert Morris last Tuesday night.
 • With their win over the Eagles, the Trojans picked up their fourth win of the year, surpassing last year's record of 3-21.
 • Freshman hitter Ashlyn Spay continues to lead the offense, averaging a team-high 2.53 kills per set. Junior Alida Knudton leads the Trojans with a .246 hitting percentage, along with 1.30 kills per set.
 • Defensively, three Trojans are averaging over two digs per set, led by Becca Kowalczuk. The junior ranks 9th in the CCAC with an average of 4.00 digs per set.
 • Freshman Kayla Jacks is averaging 6.80 assists per set, and is tied for 7th in the CCAC in assists. Jacks ranks 4th in the league in total assists, with 272, and tops the conference among freshmen.
 • Trinity can earn their second CCAC win of the year this week at Cardinal Stritch, matching their conference win total from each of the last two seasons.
 • TIU Volleyball was one of four programs from Trinity International to be selected as an NAIA Scholar-Team. To earn the NAIA Scholar-Team Award, all varsity student-athletes must have an average cumulative GPA above 3.00. The volleyball Trojans led the way, posting a department-high 3.34 average GPA.
Last Time vs. The Opponents
 • Cardinal Stritch swept the season series last year, winning a combined six sets to one over Trinity.
 • Sophomore Alida Knudston led Trinity International with nine kills, as the Trojans grabbed an opening set win but ultimately fell in four to the Wolves, 25-17, 10-25, 15-25, 15-25, in their last meeting on Oct. 20, 2015.
 • The last time TIU faced Waldorf (Iowa) came in 2007, when the Warriors took a straight set win on Oct. 26.
 • The Trojans won a five-set match over Clarke (Iowa) in their last matchup six years ago, at the Clarke Tournament on Oct. 23, 2010.
 • This weekend marks the first meeting with Missouri Valley and Valley City State (N.D.) for the Trojans, since at least 2007.
Trojan Volleyball History
 • Since 2006, TIU Volleyball has an all-time record of 140-222 (.387).
 • Trinity has claimed two CCAC regular season championships (2004, 2006), and one CCAC Tournament title (2004).
 • The Trojans have made four appearances at the NCCAA National Championships, most recently in 2010. Trinity holds a 6-10 record in pool play in the national tournament, with their deepest run coming in 2005, falling to Bethel (Ind.) in the national semifinal.

Cardinal Stritch
 • The Wolves are riding a four-match winning streak, including a 2-0 start to league play with victories over Judson and Roosevelt.
 • Cardinal Stritch ranks 11th in the NAIA in service aces, led by Yaralismar Rodriguez with 16.
Waldorf (Iowa)
 • The Warriors have rebounded from a 1-5 start to the year by going 5-3 since, including a pair of five-set wins last Saturday.
 • Briley Sullivan ranks 21st in the NAIA, with 258 total digs on the year.
Missouri Valley
 • The Vikings hold an 11-4 record entering play this week, but dropped three straight matches last weekend.
 • One of the top offenses in the NAIA, Missouri Valley ranks 16th with 13.3 kills per set. Dakota Santore is 5th in the nation with 225 total kills.
Clarke (Iowa)
 • The Crusaders are 8-1 this year and winners of eight straight, after a season-opening loss to St. Xavier. Clarke have dropped just five sets through all nine matches to date.
 • The team's hitting percentage of .267 ranks 7th in the NAIA, as hitter Kim Russell leads the Crusaders with 2.97 kills per set.
Valley City State (N.D.)
 • The Vikings are looking to end a seven-match slide, and are 1-7 so far this year.
 • Jaycee George leads the team and is ranked 15th in the NAIA, with 5.7 digs per set.
Career Milestones
 • With 365 career kills, Mickayla Staal is the active team leader. Becca Kowalczuk has recorded the most career digs, with 610.
 • Kowalczuk (2.98 digs per set) and Marissa Boelter (2.55) rank 8th and 9th respectively on TIU's career digs-per-set list (since 2007).

 • The Trojans finish the current six-match road trip at St. Ambrose on Tuesday, Sept. 20, before returning home to face St. Xavier on Thursday, Sept. 22 in a pair of conference matches.
 • Next Saturday, Trinity will take on Hillsdale Free Will Baptist (Okla.) and Moody Bible (Ill.), at the Moody Bible Tri-Match
