 • Trinity International can extend their winning streak and get back into the CCAC Tournament race this weekend, with a three-game series with the Roosevelt Lakers. The Trojans will host a single nine-inning game on Friday afternoon, before traveling to Crestwood, Ill. to face the Lakers in a doubleheader on Saturday.
 • The Trojans are coming off of a doubleheader sweep at Trinity Christian on Tuesday, securing their first two conference victories of the season.
 • TIU pounded out 13 hits in both games against the Trolls, setting a new season high in back-to-back games.
 • With their 5-5 mark in Florida, Trinity posted its best record during the traditional Spring Break trip since 2010, when the Trojans finished 5-4 while competing in California and Arizona.
 • Freshman pitcher Chris Isaac ranks 2nd in the CCAC with an ERA of 2.09 through 47.1 innings pitched. The Monroe, N.C. native ranks 36th nationally in the NAIA.
 • Isaac also leads the team with three wins, with a 3-5 record over nine apperances. Isaac has held opponents to a .235 batting average with 36 strikeouts.
• Freshman center fielder Nick Gehrt leads the Trojan offense with a .407 batting average, .500 on-base percentage, and a .458 slugging percentage. Gehrt has reached base in 19 of his 20 games played this spring, including a 17-game reached-base streak, the longest by any player for Trinity this season.
• Senior third baseman Adam Gomski is hitting .394, the second-highest average for TIU. Gomski holds the team's longest active hitting streak at six games, and has hit .545 during that span.
 • Sophomore first baseman Michael Balistreri is hitting .329 on the year, and is the only player to start all 24 games this season. Balistreri had the team's longest hitting streak of the season, with a base hit in seven straight games in Florida from Mar. 4-10. The Waukesha, Wisc. native also leads the team with two home runs this year.
 • Senior infielder Justin VanderNaald has a .319 average, and leads the team with 6 doubles and 18 RBI. VanderNaald is the active career leader in home runs after hitting his 3rd as a Trojan in the first game at Trinity Christian on Tuesday.
• Sophomore pitcher Jordan Alvernaz has posted a 2-2 record with a 6.12 ERA through four starts and ten overall apperances this spring. Alvernaz pitched in relief during game two against the Trolls on Tuesday without allowing a hit in one inning of work.
 • Senior shortstop Jeff Lindberg has started 23 of 24 games this year, and leads the team with 16 runs scored hitting primarily out of the no. 2 spot in the lineup. Lindberg reached base three times at Trinity Christian, with a single and two walks, and scored once in each game.
• Freshman Ethan Jarvis has started 21 games this year, at a team-high five different positions. Jarivs has seen time at first base, both corner outfield spots, and designated hitter, while also pitching in eight games. The Kelowna, British Columbia native is hitting .255 in his first campaign as a Trojan, while posting a 2-1 record and 6.23 ERA through 26 innings on the mound.
 • Senior catcher Joel Stephenson is hitting .333 in 17 appearances this season with a pair of doubles. Stephenson has hit safely in each of his last three games, including a 1-for-4 performance with an RBI single in the game one win at Trinity Christian on Tuesday.
 • Freshman Nick Chorney is hitting .353 after starting five of the Trojans' last nine games. Chorney leads the team with two pinch hits, including a single in the second game at Trinity Christian on Tuesday.
 • Freshman Jacob Hood has made 14 appearances primarly as a pinch/courtesy runner, and is second on the team with five stolen bases on the year. Hood has six runs scored, and earned his first career start against Robert Morris on Apr. 1, going 0-for-1 with two walks.
 • The Trojans are hitting .279 as a team this season, the 8th-highest average in the CCAC. Roosevelt rank just above TIU at 7th, with a .281 average.
 • Trinity has posted a team ERA of 5.57, 7th in the CCAC. Roosevelt rank 11th in the conference, with an 7.43 ERA.
 • Last season, Trinity finished with a 23-24-1 record, just shy of the first winning season for the program since 2010.

About Roosevelt  Â
 • The Trojans lead the all-time series over the Lakers 9-8, since the beginning of the Roosevelt baseball program in 2011.
 • Roosevelt took two of three in last year's series, from Apr. 29-May 2. Trinity's win in the middle game of the series came on a walk-off double from Jeff Lindberg in the 10th inning.
 • This season, Roosevelt are off to a 6-16 start. After their doubleheader sweep of Calumet St. Joseph on Mar. 24, the Lakers have dropped eight straight games.
 • Colten Trager leads the team with a .385 batting average, and ranks 42nd in the NAIA with a .738 slugging percentage. Trager is tied for 5th in the CCAC with five home runs on the season.
 • Matt Dunne has a 3.75 ERA to lead the Lakers' pitching staff. Dunne holds a 2-2 record through six starts and a team-leading 36 innings pitched.
• Matt Garbcz (2-3, 7.06 ERA) and Mike Marrera (0-3, 5.28 ERA) have each pitched at least 29 innings entering play this weekend.

 • TIU Baseball was picked to finish 11th out of 12 in the CCAC preseason poll, released on Nov. 7
 • The Trojans are have yet to earn a spot in the NAIA Coaches' Poll, dating back to the poll's debut in 2000.

• Since 2006, Trinity Baseball has an all-time record of 204-304-1 (.402). The Trojans' last winning season came in 2010, when TIU finished 30-23.
• Trinity's last appearance in the CCAC Tournament came in 2011, when the Trojans went 3-2, reaching the CCAC final before falling to St. Francis.
• The Trojans have made four appearances at the NCCAA National Championship, for the first time in 1998, and three straight years from 2005-2007. Trinity holds a 3-8 all-time record at the NCCAA National Championship.
