Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 DEERFIELD, Ill - In the final two matches of the weekend, the TIU Volleyball team dominated the afternoon, dropping only one set between both matches defeating Fisk University (25-23, 25-11, 25-21) and Hannibal LaGrange University (15-25, 25-13, 25-16, 25-10).

It was all Trojans from the opening serve, picking up where they left off on Friday night and they wouldn't look back. Freshman Madeline Decker and Senior Mickayla Staal were catalysts for the Trojans in the opening match of the afternoon, each chipping in 7 kills to lead the team. Ashlyn Spay would add 15 digs to lead the Trojans defensively, as well as adding in two kills to help balance the offensive attack. 

A slow start in the last match of the day led to Hannibal LaGrange to take the opening set 25-15, but the Trojans bounced right back winning three straight sets and not giving up more than 16 points in each set. Decker and Spay once again led TIU, each recording a double-double. Decker finished with 13 kills and 12 digs, while Spay chipped in 10 kills and 11 digs. With the sweep on Saturday that makes three victories in a row for Trinity International and will bring their record to an even 5-5 on the young season.

The Trojans will look to continue their winning streak as they open up conference play on Tuesday when the Roosevelt Lakers come to Deerfield, for a 7 pm. matchup at the Van Dixhorn Arena.
