Box Score PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. - In the opening game of a three game set against the Trolls, Trinity International suffered a 15-5 defeat in the opening game, registering 13 hits on the afternoon but coming up short on Friday.

Matt Latimer, Matt Pierson, and Julius Torres led the way for the Trojans at the plate, all finishing with multi-hit performances while Pierson and Latimer recorded a trio of hits a piece.

The Trolls got on the scoreboard early and often on Friday, scoring six runs in the first three innings of play including a pair of TCC homers.

TIU saw their bats come to life in the 5th, scoring a pair of runs on a Pierson double.Despite cutting into the deficit, the TCC bats stayed hot the remainder of the game, adding 9 more runs through the final five innings.

The Trojans will head back to Palos Heights for a pair of games against the Trolls tomorrow, with first pitch of the DH coming at 1:00 PM.
