ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Former TIU Soccer standout
Zach Reget capped off his first professional season in style, claiming the 2018-19 MASL Rookie of the Year Award after scoring 22 goals and adding 10 assists in his 24 games played over this past season.
Reget joined the Ambush at the end of the 2018 season, and played in his first professional game at the beginning of the 2018-19 campaign. the Kenosha native played in all 24 games this season, leading his team and all rookies in goals with 24, while also chipping in 10 assists. To go along with his Rookie of the Year selection, Reget was also named to the MALS All-Newcomer team for his outstanding season.
During his time at TIU Reget was one of the best players to ever wear the Trojan uniform, finishing third all time in scoring over his four years. The four year starter was a two time All-CCAC selection, a three time NCCAA All-Region team member as well as a 2015 NCCAA All-American during his Trojan career.Â
Reget and the Ambush will now turn their attention to the offseason as they look to improve on their ten win season from 2019.
