BANNOCKBURN, Ill. --- The TIU men's soccer program has four student-athletes who have been recognized as a scholar-athlete by one or both of the NAIA and NCCAA as a result of their excellence in the classroom during the 2022 season.

The 2022 class of men's soccer scholar-athletes are:

• Trenton Garside (NAIA, NCCAA)
• Noah Kemp (NCCAA)
• Caleb Wells (NAIA, NCCAA)
• Edwin Zuniga (NAIA, NCCAA)

Throughout program history, men's soccer has had 47 NAIA Scholar-Athletes since 1996 and 50 NCCAA Scholar-Athletes since 1998.

The NAIA requires student-athletes to have a 3.5 cumulative GPA, as well as have been at their respective institution for at least one academic year as a sophomore or above.

To receive the scholar-athlete title from the NCCAA, a student must have a 3.4 cumulative GPA, be a junior or above in the classroom and have attended their respective school for at least one academic year.
