CHICAGO, Ill. — The CCAC released their pair of weekly baseball honors and junior
Jonathan Kumai garnered recognition for a stellar .500 batting average during the seven-day period ending March 12.
Kumai, went 13-for-26 at the plate with 12 runs batted in and another 10 scored to lead the Trojans to a 6-1 week. The junior shortstop boasted three multi-hit and four multi-RBI games with his 4-for-5, 4-RBI contest in a 10-7 win over Alice Lloyd College (Ky.) last Tuesday being the highlight.
Kumai also put up back-to-back three-hit, multi-RBI games against Bob Jones University (SC) on Friday and Saturday resulting in 11-8 and 16-8 victories.Â
The big week boosted the Trojans' overall record to 10-7. Â Â
