• Trinity International wraps up the 2014 football season with a road trip, as the Trojans travel to Oskaloosa, Iowa, to face off against the No. 21 Wiliam Penn Statesmen. TIU will look to avoid going winless in MSFA Midwest League action this year, while adding a fourth win to their overall record. Quick Hits
• Trinity International were unable to overcome a quick start by No. 8 St. Xavier on Senior Day last Saturday, falling to the Cougars 45-23.
• William Penn have dropped three of their last four, and are coming off a 25-19 loss to No. 3 Grand View.
• Quarterback Stephen Anderson is 3rd in the MSFA with 226.8 passing yards per game. He ranks 18th nationally in the NAIA.
• Trojan running back Chris Elliott set the all-time TIU rushing attempts mark against Grand View, and now has an even 600 carries in his career. His TD run against Trinity Bible two weeks ago moves him into a tie for 3rd on TIU's all-time rushing TD list, with 28.

Series History
• This weekend will be the 13th meeting all-time between the Trojans and Statesmen, who have played each other every season since 2002.
• The Statesmen have won the last nine meetings, dating back to 2005. Trinity had won the first three matchups from 2002-04, but have not grabbed a win over WPU since.
• Trinity has dropped the last five meetings in Oskaloosa, with their lone win on the road in the series coming in 2003.
Last Time vs William Penn
• A pair of 3rd-quarter touchdowns gave Trinity International a one-point lead heading into the fourth, but William Penn would score the go-ahead touchdown with five minutes to play, giving the Statesmen a 23-18 win at Frazier Field during Senior Day 2013.
• TIU drove to the WPU 41 yard line in the closing minutes, but an interception killed the potential game-winning drive.
• Sophomore running back Chris Elliott tallied 104 yards on 26 carries, while quarterback Stephen Anderson rushed for a pair of TDs, collecting 37 yards on 7 rushing attempts.Â
• Anderson completed 14 of 20 passes, for 154 yards and a touchdown with three interceptions.Â
• Senior linebacker Kyle Mowen collected a game-high 14 tackles in his final game for TIU.
About William Penn
• After starting the season with a 5-1 overall record, the Statesmen are 2-3 in their last five games.
• Featuring a run-option attack, WPU leads the nation with 3,354 rushing yards as a team this season, and are 2nd in the NAIA with 335.4 rushing yards per game.Â
• Three players have averaged over 50 rushing yards per game, led by Michael Thomas, with 69.7 yards per game. Sam Tvedt has 69.0 yards per game, while Evan Ressler has collected 56.6 yards per game.
• Junior linebacker Isaac Samek averaged 8.5 tackles per game, good for 9th in the MSFA.

Leslie Frazier Field
• TIU is 10-17 at home in the Wherritt era, and are 51-73-1 all-time at Frazier Field.
• Including the win Wisconsin Lutheran earlier this season, the Trojans are 15-9-1 all-time in home openers, and have won the first game of the year at Frazier Field the past five seasons.
• In Senior Day matchups (traditionally the final home game of the season) Trinity holds an all-time record of 8-17, with their last Senior day win coming in 2012, over Waldorf (Iowa).
Trojan Football History
• The Trinity International Trojan football program has an all-time record of 101-159-2 (.389), dating back to their first season as a varsity program in 1990.
• TIU's head coach for the inaugural season in 1989 through 1996 was Leslie Frazier. Frazier was a member of the 1985 Super Bowl Champion Chicago Bears, and is currently the defensive coordinator of the NFL's Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He had a record of 38-37-3 while at TIU, and remains the winningest coach in Trinity International history.
• The Trojans have won three MSFA Midwest League titles in school history, in 1994, 1995, and 2003.
• Trinity International has earned two NAIA Football Championship Series berths, in 1994 and 2004. TIU is still searching for their first NAIA playoff victory, falling to Northwestern (Iowa) and Georgetown (Ky.), respectively.
• TIU has one appearance in the NCCAA Victory Bowl, where they fell to Garner-Webb (N.C.), 54-14, in 2001.
Trojan Attack
• The Trojans average 383.1 yards of total offense per game, good for 5th in the MSFA. They are the 4th-ranked rushing offense in the league, with 166.2 yards per game on the ground.
• Junior running back Chris Elliott ranks 3rd in the league, with 94.6 rushing yards per game. Quarterback Stephen Anderson also sits 3rd in the MSFA, with 226.8 passing yards per game.
• Against St. Xavier last weekend, Elliott became just the 2nd rusher in TIU history to collect over 3,000 career rushing yards. Elliott now has 3,018 career rushing yards, and is just 254 yards shy of the all-time school record, held by Todd Johnson (1990-94).
• Elliott recorded his second career 1,000-yard season in 2013, becoming the first Trojan to ever reach the 1K mark twice in his TIU career.
• With just one game remaining, Elliott needs 149 yards for a third 1,000-yard season.
• The Miami, Fla. native's career high came as a freshman in 2012, with an MSFA-record 346 yards in the final game of the year over Waldorf.
Record-Setting Performances
• Quarterback Stephen Anderson set a new single-game school record, throwing for seven touchdowns in the win over Wisconsin Lutheran. His 413 passing yards in the game is the second-highest total in school history, and is just the second time a Trojan QB has surpassed the 400-yard mark.
• Freshman kick returner Gary Tyler set a new TIU single-game record this year, against Robert Morris. The Winnetka, Calif. native averaged 39.4 yards per kick return, highlighted by his 100-yard return for a touchdown. Tyler ranks 15th in the NAIA with 470 total return yards this season.
• Against Grand View on Oct. 18, sophomore kicker Jeremiah Carter connected on the second-longest field goal in Trinity International history, splitting the uprights from 48 yards out, just one yard shy of the all-time record.
TIU Defense
• The Trojan defense has been one of the best in the nation at forcing turnovers this season, and ranks 2nd in the MSFA with 15 interceptions.
• TIU ranks 10th in the NAIA with 2.9 sacks per game, and 16th nationally with 26 total sacks this season.
• Linebacker Riley Schussler is 4th in the NAIA, and 3rd in the MSFA, with 12.6 tackles per game. His 0.3 forced fumbles per game ranks 3rd in the conference and 15th nationally. Shussler also ranks 21th nationally (4th in MSFA) in passes defended per game, at 1.3.
• Sophomore Brad Badali (32nd), and freshman Daniel Harris (48th) are both on the national leaderboard for interceptions, with four, and three picks, respectively.
TIU in the Polls
• The Trojans have gone unranked this season, after spending some time in the NAIA-AFCA Coaches Poll last year, earning a national ranking for three weeks of the season.
• The Trojans were ranked as high as No. 21 on Oct. 7, following their win over Olivet Nazarene.
• Before last season, Trinity's last ranking came in 2005 (No. 24, Sept. 19).
• TIU has been ranked 18 weeks in the program's history, and hold an all-time record of 14-11 (.560) as a nationally-ranked team.
• The Trojans are 7-44 (.137) all-time against ranked opponents, and 52-65 (.444) against unranked teams.
• When TIU is unranked, they are 48-108 (.308) since the poll's debut in 1999.
NCCAA Victory Bowl
• The top two teams in the NCCAA based on winning percentage will meet at the end of the season in Rome, Ga., for the 2014 Victory Bowl. Kickoff for the NCCAA's national championship game is set for Nov. 22.
• Trinity International has made one previous appearance at the Victory Bowl, in 2001. The Trojans fell to current NCAA Division I foe Gardner-Webb (N.C.), 54-14.
• The Trojans are currently 7th in the NCCAA standings, as Northwestern (Minn.) at 8-2, and Greenville (Ill.) at 7-3 top the league.
Rescued with TIU Football
• The Trinity International football program has partnered with Bright Hope for a second year to raise $30,000 and rescue 10 girls trapped in sex trafficking in northern India.
• Last season, the Trojans helped raise over $14,000 and raised awareness for Bright Hope's Anti-Human Trafficking Initiative.
• Seven players spent their spring break last year traveling to northern India with Bright Hope, to minister at a safe house, while also raising awareness by speaking at local universities and churches.
