Quick Notes
• Looking to build on their current two-game winning streak, the Trinity International Trojans face a pair of CCAC opponents this week, in the Indiana-South Bend Titans, and the 9th-ranked Purdue-Calumet Peregrines.

• Last week, TIU snapped a 34-game slide, dating back to last season, with a 97-15 win over NCCAA-II foe Crossroads (Minn.), setting the all-time school record for margin of victory in an 82-point win.
• The Trojans also picked up their first conference win in over a full calendar year, with a 71-65 win over Holy Cross.
• The Trojans are averaging 46.7 points per game, 13th-most in the CCAC; Defensively, they have allowed 73.4 points per game, ranking 9th in the conference.
• Indiana-South Bend ranks 6th in the CCAC with 69.4 points per game, and allows 64.8 points on defense, which places them 5th among league leaders.
• Purdue-Calumet has the second-highest scoring offense in the conference, with 85.1 points per game. On the other end of the floor, the Peregrines rank 7th in the CCAC, allowing 71.7 points per game.
• With a win over the Titans on Wednesday, the Trojans can snap a two-game slide to Indiana-South Bend. The Peregrines will look for their seventh straight victory over TIU on Saturday.
• The Trojans were 3-24 last season, including an 0-18 mark in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference.
• Trinity returns just 44.3% of its scoring output from last season, as the top three scorers from a year ago graduated at the end of the season. This year's roster consists of just one senior, and included a total of 12 freshmen and sophomores.
• The Trojans had arguably the toughest opening stretch of any team in the NAIA. Trinity faced off against five nationally-ranked programs in the month of November, including each opponent in the first four games of the season. TIU capped that run off with a matchup against No. 1 St. Francis (Ind.). Additionally, nine of TIU's 13 opponents so far this season have winning records
• Sophomore JaToya Woods has stepped up in a big way after making her debut during the team's three-game Florida swing. Woods is averaging a team-high 18.2 points per game over her five appearances so far this year.
• Sophomore Basha Ramsey had led the team in the early portion of the season, and now has 11.1 points per game and a team-high 6.3 rebounds per game. Freshman Nika Bracun has been TIU's second-leading rebounder, averaging 5.7 boards per night.
• Ramsey collected 26 points in the Trojans loss to Warner (Fla.) on Jan. 2, setting a new season high for points in a game for TIU. Three different Trojans have reached the 20-point mark, on four different occasions, most recently JaToya Woods' 23-point performance at Embry-Riddle on Jan. 3.

Series History with IUSB & PUC    
• Trinity International trail the all-time series with Indiana-South Bend, 6-4, dating back to 2007.
• The Trojans will need a win over #9 Purdue-Calumet to move back in front in their all-time series, as both teams have a 9-9 record against one another since 2003-04. The Peregrines have claimed six straight victories in the series, and have won eight of the last ten.
• The Trojans claimed seven straight wins over Purdue-Calumet from 2004-2009.

Last Time Out vs. Indiana-South Bend    
• In just her second game of the season, sophomore JaToya Woods led Trinity International with 11 points, in TIU's 73-47 loss at the hands of the Indiana-South Bend Titans, on Jan. 15, 2014.
• In a game where the Trojans committed six fewer turnovers than their opponents and battled the Titans to a draw on the boards, the cold shooting wound up as the main culprit in the loss. TIU shot a season-high 82 field goal attempts, but connected on a season-low percentage (.220).

Last Time Out vs. Purdue-Calumet    
• With their highest point total in nearly a month, the Trinity International Trojans put up strong numbers, led by Clarissa Woodard's 24 points, but the 24th-ranked Purdue-Calumet Peregrines would knock down 14 three-pointers, defeating TIU 93-63, on Jan. 18, 2014.
• Woodard's 24 points is the most point scored by a Trojan since Dec. 21, when Woodard set a career high with 28 points against Robert Morris.
• Woodard had a strong second half, scoring 14 points on 6-of-6 shooting and a 2-of-2 performance from the free throw line. The Kokomo, Ind. native was the only TIU player in double figures, as JaToya Woods led the Trojan bench with seven points.

League Leaders    
• Trinity ranks 6th in the CCAC, allowing a .281 three-point shooting percentage to their opponents. (29th in NAIA). As a whole, TIU opponents have been shooting at a .411 clip, the 4th-highest average in the conference.
• The team has an average of 10.8 steals on the year, placing them 4th among CCAC squads.
Basha Ramsey is the lone Trojan among the top 30 scoring leaders in the CCAC; her 11.1 points per game average places her 24th on the conference leaderboard. Ramsey also ranks 15th in the league with 6.3 rebounds per game.
• Freshman Nika Bracun sits 19th in the CCAC with 5.7 rebounds per game, and is the third-ranked freshman in the league. Bracun also ranks 13th in the conference in defensive boards, with 4.7 each night.
Arielle Miree ranks among the league leaders in steals, with an average of 1.9 per game, good for 15th in the CCAC. The sophomore from Chicago, Ill. has played the eighth-highest number of minutes on average, seeing 33.3 minutes on the floor each night.

Trojan Program History    
• Head Coach Laurel Wartluft is one of the winningest head coaches in NAIA history; Wartluft has collected 346 wins over her 24 years as a head coach, which ranks 16th on the NAIA's winningest active head coaching list.
• TIU has made two appearances at the NAIA Women's Basketball Championship, in 1992-93, and 1994-95. The Trojans lost in the first round both times, to College of the Ozarks (Mo.) in 1993, and Western Oregon in 1995.
• Since 2003-04, TIU has posted an overall record of 153-213 (.418).
•Trinity International has never appeared in the NAIA Coaches Poll, since it's debut in 1999-00.

Van Dixhorn Arena Dedication    
• Friends, family and alumni of Trinity International University are welcome to attend the dedication of the new Henry Van Dixhorn Arena, during the TIU Women's and Men's doubleheader on Saturday, February 7.
• The newly refurbished arena, made possible by the generous gifts from several friends across the Trinity family, including board member Henry Van Dixhorn and his family, was officially opened Friday, October 24th in the Meyer Sports Complex.
• The arena is the largest gathering space Trinity's campus has ever held, with a capacity of over 1,700 in the stands that now surround the brand new court on all sides.
