Quick Notes
• A tough stretch for Trinity International begins this week, with three nationally-ranked opponents over the next four games, beginning with No. 10 Olivet Nazarene on Saturday. Tipoff from Van Dixhorn Arena is set for 1:00 p.m.
• The Trojans and Tigers will be streamed live online, at TIUTrojans.com.
• Two players are averaging double figures for TIU this season, with senior guard JaToya Woods scoring a team-high 17.6 points per game. Junior Sarina Falvo has contributed 10.8 points per game while shooting a team-leading 32.9% from three-point range in her first season as a Trojan.
• With a win over the Tigers, Trinity will have won back-to-back games for the third time this season, and have their first victory over a nationally-ranked opponent in four seasons.
• TIU ranks 3rd in NAIA D-II with a team average of 13.8 steals per game, and are 9th nationally with 220 total steals.
• Defensively, the Trojans allow 65.6 points per game, good for 5th in the CCAC. TIU opponents have shot 36.2% from the field, ranking the Trojan defense 6th in the conference, and 22nd in the NAIA.
• The Trojans' win over Maranatha Baptist (Wisc.) on December 10th was head coach Laurel Wartluft's 350th career victory. Wartluft is one of 15 active coaches in the NAIA Division II with 350 or more victories.
• Trinity's seven victories this year are the most for the Trojans since 2012-13. The Trojans have more wins this season than in the past two years combined
• Olivet Nazarene come to Deerfield on a seven-game winning streak, the longest in the CCAC, after upsetting No. 2 St. Francis on Wednesday night.
• The Tigers lead the CCAC with 111.1 points per game, but rank last in the league defensively, allowing 88.4 points per game to the opposition. 

Series History with ONU
• The Trojans and Tigers will meet for the 12th time on Saturday, with Olivet holding a 9-2 advantage in the all-time series.
• The Trojans last defeated ONU in 2009, with a 107-95 victory. Since then, the Tigers have claimed six wins in a row.
• Of the 11 meetings so far, ONU has reached the 100-point mark nine times; both times when the Trojan defense has kept Olivet under the century mark, TIU has won.

Last Time Out vs. Olivet Nazarene
• Two Trojans finished in double figures, led by senior Daja' Johnson's 14 points, but turnovers proved to play a big factor as Trinity International suffered a 101-53 loss to the Olivet Nazarene Tigers, on Jan. 21, 2015.
• The Trojans committed a season-high 41 turnovers, resulting in 50 points on the other end. TIU had a strong offensive night otherwise, shooting .348 (24-69), a season-best in conference play this year. Johnson was 5-for-11 shooting, connecting on a pair of threes and shooting an even 50% (2-4) from long range.

National Leaders
• The Trojans are one of the better defensive units in the NAIA this season. Trinity ranks among the top 50 teams in six different defensive categories.
• Individually, senior JaToya Woods currently holds the third-highest steals-per-game average in the NAIA, with 3.3 per game.
• Freshman forward Parris Bryant ranks 11th in the nation with 2.14 blocks per game, and 20th in total blocks, with 30.

Player of the Week
• On Dec. 15, junior guard Sarina Falvo was named the CCAC Player of the Week, as well as the NCCAA National Player of the Week.
• Falvo recorded a career-high 34 points in the win over the Calumet St. Joseph on Dec. 12, the highest single-game point total for a Trojan since the 2010-11 season. The Cairns, Australia native knocked down eight three-pointers, matching the highest total of any player in the NAIA D-II at that point in the season.
• The Player of the Week award is the first for Trinity International women's basketball in nearly five years, when Melanie Duplessis was selected Player of the Week on Feb. 8, 2011. That season, the Trojans reached the CCAC Tournament simifinals, and qualified for the NCCAA National Tournament.

1,000 Point Club
• Since 2003-04, four Trojans have reached 1,000 career points, most recently Brittany Simon (2009-13), with 1,019 points.
• JaToya Woods is the active career leader in scoring, with 759 points. With 24 points in the win over Maranatha Baptist on Dec. 10, Woods moved into the program's top ten scoring list, dating back to the '03-'04 season.
• With 18 points in Saturday's win at Trinity Christian, Woods moved into 6th on the list, surpassing Cassie Glendenning (2009-12).

Trojan Program History
• Head Coach Laurel Wartluft is one of the winningest active head coaches in the NAIA; Wartluft has collected 353 wins over her 25 years as a head coach.
• TIU has made two appearances at the NAIA Women's Basketball Championship, in 1992-93, and 1994-95. The Trojans lost in the first round both times, to College of the Ozarks (Mo.) in 1993, and Western Oregon in 1995.
• Since 2003-04, TIU has posted an overall record of 160-233 (.407).
•Trinity International has never appeared in the NAIA Coaches Poll, since it's debut in 1999-00.
