Quick Notes

• Trinity International makes its' home debut this weekend, as part of the 2016 Trojan Classic. Trinity will play host to Emmaus Bible (Iowa) on Friday, before facing off against Keiser (Fla.) on Saturday night.
• All eight games of the Trojan Classic will be streamed online, at TIUTrojans.com/LIVE
• The Trojans have gotten off to a 1-1 start to the season, and are coming off an 81-76 road win at Cincinnati Christian.
• Senior guard Rayelle Ross leads the team with 15.5 points per game in the early season. Sarina Falvo (13.5 ppg) and Jendayi Campbell (11.5) are also averaging double figures for the Trojans.
• Senior forward Marlou Peters is averaging a team-high 7.0 rebounds per game. Four different Trojans are pulling down three or more boards per game.
• As a team, the Trojans rank 2nd in the NAIA in three-point shooting. Trinity is hitting 48.3% from beyond the arc. In the win over Cincinnati Christian, TIU went 8-of-13 (61.5%) from long range.
• TIU head coach Laurel Wartluft earned her 354th career victory at Cincinnati Christian last weekend. Wartluft is one of 14 active coaches in NAIA Division II with 350 or more victories.
• Trinity is averaging 68.5 points per game as a team, good for 8th in the CCAC. Defensively, the Trojans allow an average of 70.5 points per game, tied for 8th in the league.
• The Trojans are looking to improve upon last season's record of 8-19, which was the program's highest win total in three seasons.
• Trinity ranks 3rd in the NAIA with an .821 free throw percentage. From the field, TIU is shooting at a .490 clip, the 5th-best percentage in the NAIA.

Series History

• The Trojans will meet with Emmaus Bible for the second time in program history, after earning an 87-52 win over the Eagles last season.
• Saturday will mark the first-ever meeting between Trinity and Keiser.

Last Time Out vs. Emmaus Bible

• Four players, all in just their second game for Trinity, finish in double figures as the Trojans secure a dominant 87-52 win over Emmaus Bible, in the opening game of the 2015 Trojan Classic on Nov. 6, 2015 inside Van Dixhorn Arena.
• Junior forward Marlou Peters earned her first double-double as a Trojan, finishing with 24 points and ten rebounds on the night. Guard Sarina Falvo led the team with 25 points, going 11-for-15 from the field, and 3-of-5 from long range.
• Point guard Rayelle Ross nearly had a double-double herself, posting 10 points with nine boards, while freshman Jendayi Campbell picked up 12 points in the win.

National Leaders

• Sarina Falvo is one of 14 players in the NAIA to still hold a perfect record at the free throw line. Falvo went 5-for-5 at the line between the first two games of the year.
• Arielle Miree sits 11th on the NAIA leaderboard, averaging 5.0 assists per game. Miree posted seven assists in the win at Cincinnati Christian.

1,000 Point Club

• Since 2003-04, four Trojans have reached 1,000 career points, most recently Brittany Simon (2009-13), with 1,019 points.
• Basha Ramsey is the active career leader in scoring, with 569 points.

Trojan Program History

• Head Coach Laurel Wartluft is one of the winningest active head coaches in the NAIA; Wartluft has collected 354 wins over her 26 years as a head coach.
• TIU has made two appearances at the NAIA Women's Basketball Championship, in 1992-93, and 1994-95. The Trojans lost in the first round both times, to College of the Ozarks (Mo.) in 1993, and Western Oregon in 1995.
• Since 2003-04, TIU has posted an overall record of 161-243 (.399).
•Trinity International has never appeared in the NAIA Coaches Poll, since it's debut in 1999-00.
