• The Trojans are hoping to make it two in a row following Wednesday night's 73-45 victory over Lincoln Christian.
• Senior guard Sarina Falvo leads the team with 11.8 points per game in the early season. Basha Ramsey (10.5 ppg) is also averaging double figures for the Trojans.
• Ramsey made her season debut against Purdue-Northwest on Dec. 3, returning from injury to score a team-high ten points.
• Senior forward Marlou Peters is averaging a team-high 5.9 rebounds per game. Seven different Trojans are pulling down three or more boards per game.
• As a team, the Trojans rank 22nd in the NAIA in free throw shooting, connecting at the charity stripe with a .726 percentage. Trinity posted a season-high .895 free throw percentage (17-of-19) in the win at Cincinnati Christian on Nov. 5.
• TIU head coach Laurel Wartluft earned her 355th career victory at Cincinnati Christian. Wartluft is one of 15 active coaches in NAIA Division II with 350 or more victories.
• Trinity is averaging 61.9 points per game as a team, good for 11th in the CCAC. Defensively, the Trojans allow an average of 66.3 points per game, ranking 7th in the league.
• Calumet St. Joseph average a conference-low 43.5 points per game, and are 13th in the CCAC on defense, giving up 82.6 points each night.
• Trinity ranks 3rd in the CCAC with an average of 11.2 steals per game. The team's average grew by more than two steals per game after recording a season-high 31 in the win over Lincoln Christian on Wednesday night.
• The Trojans are looking to improve upon last season's record of 8-19, which was the program's highest win total in three seasons.
Series History
• Saturday will be the 31st meeting between the Trojans and Crimson Wave since the 2003-04 season.
• Trinity holds a 20-10 advantage in the series, but are only 4-4 against Calumet since 2011-12.
• The two rivals have met seven times in the CCAC Tournament, with Trinity going 5-2 in those contests.
Scouting the Opponent
• The Crimson Wave have had a tough start to the season, and are searching for their first win of the year, entering this weekend 0-11 overall.
• Brittni Kisul leads the team with 11.5 points per game, and shoots 32.7% from three-point range.
• Kayla Williams in the NAIA's national leader in blocks, with 26. She ranks 4th nationally with 2.4 blocks per game on average.
Last Time Out vs. Calumet
• Sarina Falvo led Trinity International with eight three-pointers made, scoring a career-high 34 points in the Trojans' 87-41 road victory over the Calumet St. Joseph Crimson Wave on Dec. 12, 2015.
• Two other Trojans finished in double figures, with JaToya Woods tallying 13 points, and freshman Parris Bryant coming off the bench to contribute 11.
• Trinity's defense put the game out of reach early, as the Trojans held the home team to under ten points in each of the first three periods. Calumet committed 39 turnovers, leading to 42 points for the Trojans.
• Senior guard Arielle Miree finished with a career-high ten assists in the win, doubling her previous high of five assists, recorded last season. Miree and Woods both posted a team-high five steals, as four Trojans in all finished with four or more steals in the win.
National Leaders
• Sarina Falvo ranks 21st among the NAIA national leaders in free throw shooting, connecting at the stripe with an .862 percentage.
• Senior guard Rayelle Ross is 34th in the NAIA, with 25 total steals, and is 37th in steals per game, at 2.5.
• Arielle Miree is averaging 3.7 assists per game, good for 41st in the NAIA, and her 37 total assists this season is the 48th-most nationally.
Trojan Program History
• Head Coach Laurel Wartluft is one of the winningest active head coaches in the NAIA; Wartluft has collected 357 wins over her 26 years as a head coach.
• TIU has made two appearances at the NAIA Women's Basketball Championship, in 1992-93, and 1994-95. The Trojans lost in the first round both times, to College of the Ozarks (Mo.) in 1993, and Western Oregon in 1995.
• Since 2003-04, TIU has posted an overall record of 162-248 (.395).
•Trinity International has never appeared in the NAIA Coaches Poll since it's debut in 1999-00.

• Since 2003-04, four Trojans have reached 1,000 career points, most recently Brittany Simon (2009-13), with 1,019 points.
• Basha Ramsey is the active career leader in scoring, with 590 points.
