Quick Notes
• Trinity International prepares for two nationally-ranked opponents this week, starting with Wednesday night's welcoming of the No. 25 St. Ambrose Bees to Van Dixhorn Arena. On Saturday, Trinity will head north to take on No. 13 Cardinal Stritch.
• Both games will be streamed online at TIUTrojans.com.
• Two players are averaging double figures for TIU this season, with senior guard JaToya Woods scoring a team-high 17.9 points per game. Junior Sarina Falvo has contributed 11.2 points per game while shooting a team-leading 30.1% from three-point range in her first season as a Trojan.
• TIU ranks 5th in NAIA D-II with a team average of 12.7 steals per game, and are 12th nationally with 292 total steals.
• Defensively, the Trojans allow 63.8 points per game, good for 12th in the CCAC. TIU opponents have shot 39.2% from the field, ranking the Trojan defense 10th in the conference.
• The Trojans' win over Maranatha Baptist (Wisc.) on December 10th was head coach Laurel Wartluft's 350th career victory. Wartluft is one of 15 active coaches in the NAIA Division II with 350 or more victories.
• Trinity's seven victories this year are the most for the Trojans since 2012-13. The Trojans have more wins this season than in the past two years combined
• St. Ambrose have won six of their last seven games going into this week. The Bees had a six-game win streak snapped last weekend, in a 73-56 home loss to Cardinal Stritch.
• Stritch have won four of the last five, including two in a row, at home over Roosevelt, and on the road at St. Francis.

Series History with SAU
• The Trojans will look for their first-ever win over St. Ambrose, as the Bees have claimed a 7-0 advantage over TIU since the 2003-04 season.

Series History with CSU
• Saturday will mark the 28th meeting between the Trojans and Wolves since 2003-04, with Cardinal Stritch claiming a 25-2 record over Trinity in the series.
• Trinity earned a 63-61 win over Stritch on Jan. 14, 2012, but have dropped the last seven matchups since.

Last Time Out vs. St. Ambrose
JaToya Woods reached the 20-point mark for the fourth time in the last five games, but another slow start for Trinity saw the Trojans fall on the road to the St. Ambrose Bees, 78-44, on Jan. 5 in CCAC play.
• The Trojans were held without a field goal throughout the first period, as the host Bees scored the first 17 points of the game and led 27-4 at the end of the first quarter. 
• Woods got the Trojans back on the right track at the start of the second, with a pair of scores to cut the lead to under 20, at 27-8. St. Ambrose would respond with a 10-1 run to build their advantage to 37-9 with 5:56 remaining in the half, and would stay in front of the Trojans by more than 20 points the rest of the night.

Last Time Out vs. Cardinal Stritch
• A tight game throughout the first half, Trinity looked to have a shot for the upset, but the visitors pulled away after the halftime break, as the No. 9 Wolves defeated the Trojans 80-51 on Jan. 7 inside the Van Dixhorn Arena.
• Senior guard JaToya Woods led Trinity with 17 points on 5-of-15 shooting, while junior Rayelle Ross pitched in with 10 points and four assists.

National Leaders
• Individually, senior JaToya Woods currently holds the 11th-highest steals-per-game average in the NAIA, with 2.8 per game.
• On the offensvie end, Woods also ranks among the top of the NAIA, with 17.9 points per game, the 19th-best scoring average in the nation.

Player of the Week
• On Dec. 15, junior guard Sarina Falvo was named the CCAC Player of the Week, as well as the NCCAA National Player of the Week.
• Falvo recorded a career-high 34 points in the win over the Calumet St. Joseph on Dec. 12, the highest single-game point total for a Trojan since the 2010-11 season. The Cairns, Australia native knocked down eight three-pointers, matching the highest total of any player in the NAIA D-II at that point in the season.
• The Player of the Week award is the first for Trinity International women's basketball in nearly five years, when Melanie Duplessis was selected Player of the Week on Feb. 8, 2011. That season, the Trojans reached the CCAC Tournament simifinals, and qualified for the NCCAA National Tournament.

1,000 Point Club
• Since 2003-04, four Trojans have reached 1,000 career points, most recently Brittany Simon (2009-13), with 1,019 points.
JaToya Woods is the active career leader in scoring, with 888 points. With 24 points in the win over Maranatha Baptist on Dec. 10, Woods moved into the program's top ten scoring list, dating back to the '03-'04 season.
• With 19 points against Judson last week, Woods moved into 5th on the list, surpassing Clarissa Woodard (2010-14).

Trojan Program History
• Head Coach Laurel Wartluft is one of the winningest active head coaches in the NAIA; Wartluft has collected 353 wins over her 25 years as a head coach.
• TIU has made two appearances at the NAIA Women's Basketball Championship, in 1992-93, and 1994-95. The Trojans lost in the first round both times, to College of the Ozarks (Mo.) in 1993, and Western Oregon in 1995.
• Since 2003-04, TIU has posted an overall record of 160-240 (.400).
• Trinity International has never appeared in the NAIA Coaches Poll, since it's debut in 1999-00.
