 • Through a quarter of the regular season so far, the Trojan softball program has recorded four victories so far, its highest win total since 2011, when TIU finished 4-30 overall.
 • Freshman pitcher Taylor Carli has led the Trojans in the circle, appearing in 11 of 12 games so far this season. Carli has posted a 3-7 record this season, with a 3.90 ERA.
 • Two players are tied for the team lead in batting average entering play this week, as Jamie Stanton and Alyssa Doomis are each hitting .333 on the year. Both have collected 11 base hits, and while Stanton leads the team with nine RBI, Doomis has scored a team-high 10 runs.
 • As a team, the Trojans have posted a 3.56 ERA, good for 10th in the CCAC. Cardinal Stritch ranks 3rd in the league, with a 2.09 ERA.
 • The Trojans' .236 team batting average is 12th in the conference so far this season, while Stritch ranks 6th with a .287 average.
Last Time Out
 • Cranking six extra-base hits between both games, including five triples off the bats of five different Trojans, Trinity International earned a doubleheader sweep over the Blackburn (Ill.) Beavers at Heritage Park on Saturday afternoon.
 • The Trojans took game one by a tight 4-3 margin, scoring all four runs in the 1st inning, then holding on for the win, as freshman pitcher Taylor Carli pitched a complete game, striking out seven while allowing three runs.
 • In the second game of the day, Trinity overcame an early 3-0 deficit to win by the run rule in the 6th inning, 11-3. TIU blasted a season-high 12 hits in the second game, with every player that stepped up to the plate collecting at least one base hit. Alyssa Doomis, Breanna Hansen, and Justine Wigboldy each put in 2-for-3 performances at the plate, and scored a combined seven runs in the game.
 • Hansen allowed just two hits through six innings in the circle, earning the win in her first start of the season.

All-Time Series vs. Cardinal Stritch
 • The Wolves hold a 16-5 lead in the series with Trinity, dating back to 2006.
 • Cardinal Stritch have claimed the las nine meetings, sweeping the annual doubleheader over the Trojans from 2012-15.
 • CSU has won the last four games in run rule shortened games, outscoring TIU by a combined 61-2.

Conference Leaders
 • Taylor Carli has put in a lot of time in the circle in her first year at Trinity; the freshman has posted 66.1 innings pitched so far this season, out of the 76.2 innings pitched by the team as a whole.
 • Carli ranks 2nd in the CCAC, and 37th nationally in the NAIA in innings pitched.
 • The Lombard, Ill. native also ranks among league leaders in strikeouts, with 39 so far this year, the 4th-highest among CCAC pitchers.
 • Junior shortstop Allison Naujokas has been hit by ten pitches through 12 games this season, leading the CCAC. Naujokas leads the Trojans with a .450 on-base percentage, thanks in part to the free passes.
• In the field, Tori Livingston ranks 5th in the conference in both putouts (100) and chances (107). Outfielder Justine Wigboldy is one of 299 qualifying players in the NAIA to still hold a 1.000 fielding percentage.

Last Year vs. Stritch
 • Playing in their home-away-from-home for the second time in 2015, Trinity managed four hits against one of the top pitching staffs in the NAIA, suffering a pair of conference losses to the Wolves, 20-0 and 12-1 respectively, at Heritage Park on Mar. 30, 2015.
 • The Trojans were shut out in the opener, after Stritch jumped out to a five-run 1st inning to take a commanding early lead. Trinity's best chance to get on the board came in the bottom of the 3rd, when first baseman Danielle Donorovich led the inning off by cranking a double to left. CSU's Tori Burke then struck out the next two batters, and forced a groundout to third to end the threat. The Wolves then piled on 11 runs in the top of the 4th to put the game away.
 • CSU again took a lead in the top of the 1st in game two, scoring a pair of runs on their way to 12 unanswered by the 5th inning. The Trojans got on the board in their last trip to the plate, using a two-out rally to score their lone run of the day. Freshman Emily Doomis' single through the right side of the infield set the table for her twin sister Alyssa, who hit an RBI single two batters later.

TIU Softball History
 • Since 2006, Trinity Softball has an all-time record of 49-309 (.137). The Trojans' last winning season came in 2006, when TIU finished 23-22.
 • Trinity's last appearance in the CCAC Tournament came in 2007, when the Trojans went 1-2, falling to eventual conference champ St. Xavier.
 • The Trojans have made one appearance in the NCCAA National Championship, also in 2007. The Trojans upset the higher-seeded Emmanuel (Ga.) before falling in the quarterfinals. Trinity has never made an appearance in the NAIA Softball World Series.

Up Next
 • TIU will prepare for a Saturday matchup with Calumet St. Joseph in what will be the first road trip of the conference season. First pitch between the Trojans and Crimson Wave is set for 12:00 p.m. on March 26.
