Quick Notes
 • Winners of three of their last four, Trinity International softball will look to keep the momentum rolling on Saturday, when they hit the road for a pair of games against the Calumet St. Joseph Crimson Wave.
 • Streaming video and live stats will be available for Saturday's games, at TIUTrojans.com.
 • The Trojans are coming off a doubleheader split against Cardinal Stritch on Tuesday, in the opening games of the CCAC season. Trinity were shut out in the opener, 6-0, before bouncing back to shut out the Wolves in game two, 3-0.
 • The win over Cardinal Stritch marked the first CCAC victory for Trinity in five seasons. On Apr. 21, 2011, the Trojans also defeated Stritch by a 3-0 margin.
 • Last Saturday, TIU scored a pair of victories over Blackburn (Ill.), marking the first doubleheader sweep for Trinity since the 2007 season.
 • Through a quarter of the regular season so far, the Trojan softball program has recorded five victories so far, its highest win total since 2010, when TIU finished 7-31 overall.
 • Freshman pitcher Taylor Carli has led the Trojans in the circle, appearing in 13 of 14 games so far this season. Carli has posted a 4-8 record this season, with a 3.57 ERA.
 • Sophomore Alyssa Doomis has the team lead in batting average entering play this week, hitting .308 on the year. Doomis also has the team's highest slugging percentage, at .436, and the second-highest on base percentage, at .400.
 • As a team, the Trojans have posted a 3.32 ERA, good for 8th in the CCAC. Calumet St. Joseph's ERA of 3.15 ranks 7th in the league.
 • The Trojans' .225 team batting average is 13th in the conference so far this season, while the Crimson Wave place 9th with a .268 average.
Last Time Out
 • Tori Livingston's two-out, two-RBI single during a three-run 5th inning highlighted Trinity International's first conference victory in nearly five years, as the Trojans split Tuesday's doubleheader against the Cardinal Stritch Wolves, winning game two 3-0 after falling in the opener 6-0.
 • Freshman pitcher Taylor Carli recorded her first career shutout in the win, working around eight hits and striking out three. The Lombard, Ill. native worked efficiently, not allowing any walks throughout the game while none of the eight hits allowed were for extra bases.
 • The Trojans had struggled at the plate throughout the day, and had just one base hit before the 5th inning rally. Justine Wigboldy's one-out single started the run, before three straight Trojans reached base with two outs on the board. Following an Allison Naujokas walk that moved Wigboldy to second, sophomore catcher Alyssa Doomis gave Trinity the lead with a single to right center. Livingston then added two more insurance runs with another single, scoring both Naujokas and Doomis.

Series vs. Calumet
 • The Crimson Wave hold a 16-4 lead in the series with Trinity, dating back to 2006.
 • Calumet St. Joseph have won the last 15 meetings with Trinity, including the past seven games in run-rule shortened contests.
 • The Trojans last win over Calumet came on Apr. 2, 2008, in a 10-0 contest that marked the fourth win for TIU in the previous five games.

Conference Leaders
 • Taylor Carli has put in a lot of time in the circle in her first year at Trinity; the freshman has posted 80.1 innings pitched so far this season, out of the 90.2 innings pitched by the team as a whole.
 • Carli ranks 2nd in the CCAC in innings pitched, and is 27th in the NAIA in innngs pitched per game, at 6.18.
 • The Lombard, Ill. native also ranks among league leaders in strikeouts, with 44 so far this year, the 4th-highest among CCAC pitchers.
 • Junior shortstop Allison Naujokas has been hit by 12 pitches through 14 games this season, leading the CCAC. Naujokas leads the Trojans with a .478 on-base percentage, thanks in part to the free passes.
• In the field, Tori Livingston ranks 6th in the conference in both putouts (112) and chances (119).

Last Year vs. Calumet
 • Freshman Alyssa Doomis went 2-for-3 in the second of two games, while Ashley O'Brien picked up a pair of RBI, but the Trojans ultimately suffered a pair of losses, 8-0 and 16-5, on the road at Calumet St. Joseph on Apr. 7, 2015.
 • The Trojans' offense struggled in game one, as CCSJ's Kali Weyer posted a one-hitter, with Justine Wigboldy ending the no-hit bid in the 3rd with her leadoff single to center.
 • In game two, Trinity scored at least one run in three of their five trips to the plate, but were unable to keep the Crimson Wave off the scoreboard, as the home team scored three or more runs in each inning. Victoria Livingston picked up two runs for TIU, one of which included a steal of home on a double steal play in the 3rd. The junior then singled in the 5th inning to drive home Valerie D'Ambrosio, and later came around to score on Ashley O'Brien's single.

TIU Softball History
 • Since 2006, Trinity Softball has an all-time record of 50-310 (.139). The Trojans' last winning season came in 2006, when TIU finished 23-22.
 • Trinity's last appearance in the CCAC Tournament came in 2007, when the Trojans went 1-2, falling to eventual conference champ St. Xavier.
 • The Trojans have made one appearance in the NCCAA National Championship, also in 2007. The Trojans upset the higher-seeded Emmanuel (Ga.) before falling in the quarterfinals. Trinity has never made an appearance in the NAIA Softball World Series.
