• Trinity International steps outside of conference play when they head south to face the Lincoln Christian (Ill.) Red Lions on Tuesday night.

• Despite a season-high 83 points, the Trojans are coming off of a 110-83 road loss at No. 23 Olivet Nazarene last Saturday.
• Senior guard Sarina Falvo leads the team with 11.8 points per game this season. Falvo has scored double figures in three of her last five games, including a season-high 17 points in the win over Trinity Christian.
• Senior Rayelle Ross is second in scoring for the Trojans, with 8.1 points per game. Ross is also second in steals, with 27.
• Junior guard Tashyra Burrough is also averaging 8.1 points per game, after finishing with a career-high 21 points at Olivet Nazarene. With 15 points in the win over Trinity Christian on Jan. 7, Burrough posted double figures in back-to-back games for the first time. 
• In nine games after returning from injury, Basha Ramsey has averaged 7.1 points with a team-high 5.0 rebounds per game. Ramsey played a season-high 24 minutes at Olivet on Saturday, finishing with ten points and four steals.
• As a team, the Trojans rank 15th in the NAIA in free throw shooting, connecting at the charity stripe with a .738 percentage. Trinity shot a season-best 19-of-20 (.950) from the free throw line in the win over Calumet St. Joseph on Dec. 10.
• TIU head coach Laurel Wartluft earned her 355th career victory at Cincinnati Christian on Nov. 5. Wartluft is one of 15 active coaches in NAIA Division II with 350 or more victories.
• Trinity is averaging 61.4 points per game as a team, good for 13th in the CCAC. Defensively, the Trojans allow an average of 66.4 points per game, ranking 5th in the league.
• Lincoln Christian is averaging just 57.8 points per game, good for 122nd in the NAIA-II, but the Red Lions lead the nation in points allowed, giving up 52.6 points on the defensive end.
• Trinity ranks 3rd in the CCAC in opponents' field goal percentage, at 36.1%, and are 5th in the league with an average of 10.9 steals per game.
• The Trojans are looking to improve upon last season's record of 8-19, which was the program's highest win total in three seasons.

Series History

• Tueday is just the 2nd meeting between the Trojans and Red Lions in program history.
• Trinity won the first meeting earlier this season, a 73-45 home win on Dec. 7.

Last Time Out vs. Lincoln Christian

• An agressive Trinity International defense caused problems for the visitors all night, as the Trojans allowed the third-fewest points this season in a 73-45 victory over the Red Lions on Dec. 7.
• Trinity's defensive pressure forced 42 Red Lion turnovers in the win, the highest number in two seasons, leading to 32 points for the Trojans. As a team, Trinity recorded a season-high 31 steals, led by Cheyenne Berbey and Jendayi Campbell, who each posted a career-best five steals on the night.
• Sarina Falvo would finish with 12 points off the bench, while Basha Ramsey had a solid offensive effort in her second game back from injury, scoring 11 points with six rebounds in the win. Brookelyn Robertson would lead the Trojans with seven boards overall.

Scouting the Opponent

• The Red Lions have dropped two of the last three after Saturday's home loss to Maranatha Baptist (Wisc.), 50-33.
• Center Katie Boyce is the NAIA leader in blocks per game, at 3.3. Boyce also leads the team in points (17.6, 21st in NAIA) and rebounds (12.8, 2nd in NAIA).
• Lincoln Christian leads the NAIA in scoring defense, allowing 52.6 points per game, and opponent's field goal percentage, at 31.7%.
• Abbey Akre is 11th in the NAIA with 3.0 steals per game.

National Leaders

• Sarina Falvo ranks 11th among the NAIA national leaders in free throw shooting, connecting at the stripe with an .873 percentage.

Trojan Program History

• Head Coach Laurel Wartluft is one of the winningest active head coaches in the NAIA; Wartluft has collected 359 wins over her 26 years as a head coach.
• TIU has made two appearances at the NAIA Women's Basketball Championship, in 1992-93, and 1994-95. The Trojans lost in the first round both times, to College of the Ozarks (Mo.) in 1993, and Western Oregon in 1995.
• Since 2003-04, TIU has posted an overall record of 164-2531 (.393).
•Trinity International has never appeared in the NAIA Coaches Poll since it's debut in 1999-00.

1,000 Point Club

• Five Trojans have reached 1,000 career points, most recently Brittany Simon (2009-13), with 1,019 points.
• Basha Ramsey is the active career leader in scoring, with 633 points.
