• Trinity International jumps back into conference play with the first game of 2017, when the Trojans host the St. Ambrose Bees on Tuesday night.

• The Trojans are working to rebound after a 69-51 road loss to Goshen (Ind.) on Dec. 20.
• Senior guard Sarina Falvo leads the team with 11.7 points per game this season. In just five games this season, Basha Ramsy is second in scoring, averaging 8.4 points per game.
• Ramsey made her season debut against Purdue-Northwest on Dec. 3, returning from injury to score a team-high ten points. 
• Ramsey is also averaging a team-high 6.4 rebounds per game, as seven different Trojans are pulling down three or more boards per game.
• As a team, the Trojans rank 17th in the NAIA in free throw shooting, connecting at the charity stripe with a .739 percentage. Trinity shot 19-of-20 (.950) from the free throw line in the win over Calumet St. Joseph on Dec. 10.
• TIU head coach Laurel Wartluft earned her 355th career victory at Cincinnati Christian. Wartluft is one of 15 active coaches in NAIA Division II with 350 or more victories.
• Trinity is averaging 63.0 points per game as a team, good for 11th in the CCAC. Defensively, the Trojans allow an average of 63.9 points per game, ranking 5th in the league.
• St. Ambrose averages 65.9 points per game, the 8th-best offense in the league, but are outscored by their opponents, giving up 70.2 points each night, ranking 8th in the CCAC.
• Trinity is tied for 3rd in the CCAC with an average of 11.2 steals per game. The team's average grew by more than two steals per game after recording a season-high 31 in the win over Lincoln Christian on Dec. 7.
• The Trojans are looking to improve upon last season's record of 8-19, which was the program's highest win total in three seasons.

Series History
• Tuesday will be the 15th meeting between the Trojans and Bees, as Trinity searches for its first victory in the series.
• The Trojans posted their highest-ever point total against St. Ambrose in their last meeting, during a 90-78 loss on Feb. 10, 2016.

Last Time Out vs. St. Ambrose
• Senior JaToya Woods reached the 20-point mark for the fourth time in the last five games, but another slow start for Trinity saw the Trojans fall on the road to the St. Ambrose Bees, 78-44, on Jan. 5, 2016.
• On Feb. 10, 2016, the Trojan defense struggled to find an answer from long range, as the 25th-ranked Bees knocked down 15 three-pointers to defeat the Trojans, 90-78 inside Van Dixhorn Arena.

Scouting the Opponent
• Midway through the month of December the Bees held a 2-9 record, but have rebounded to win three straight, including road wins at Holy Cross and Viterbo (Wisc.)
• Reeann McCarty leads the team with 8.1 rebounds per game, and ranks 5th nationally in the NAIA, with a .900 free throw percentage.
• Haley Cook is the Bees' leading scorer, averaging 13.4 points per game. Cook also ranks 20th in the NAIA with a .526 shooting percentage.

National Leaders
• Sarina Falvo ranks 9th among the NAIA national leaders in free throw shooting, connecting at the stripe with an .875 percentage.

Trojan Program History
• Head Coach Laurel Wartluft is one of the winningest active head coaches in the NAIA; Wartluft has collected 358 wins over her 26 years as a head coach.
• TIU has made two appearances at the NAIA Women's Basketball Championship, in 1992-93, and 1994-95. The Trojans lost in the first round both times, to College of the Ozarks (Mo.) in 1993, and Western Oregon in 1995.
• Since 2003-04, TIU has posted an overall record of 163-250 (.395).
•Trinity International has never appeared in the NAIA Coaches Poll since it's debut in 1999-00.

1,000 Point Club
• Since 2003-04, four Trojans have reached 1,000 career points, most recently Brittany Simon (2009-13), with 1,019 points.
• Basha Ramsey is the active career leader in scoring, with 611 points.
