• Trinity International goes for the upset on Saturday afternoon, when they host the No. 1 ranked St. Francis Saints.

• The Trojans are coming off of a 78-70 home loss to Robert Morris on Wednesday night, but are 2-2 in their last four contests, with wins over Trinity Christian and Lincoln Christian (Ill.).
• Senior guard Sarina Falvo leads the team with 11.3 points per game this season. Falvo scored 12 points against Robert Morris, her first double-figure performance in her last three appearances.
• Junior guard Tashyra Burrough is averaging 8.7 points per game this year, but has put up an average of 16.0 points in the last four games, including a career-high 21 at Olivet Nazarene last Saturday.
• Senior Rayelle Ross is third in scoring for the Trojans, with 8.5 points per game. Ross led the Trojans with 17 points in the win at Lincoln Christian on Tuesday night.
• In 11 games after returning from injury midway through the season, Basha Ramsey has averaged 7.1 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. Ramsey posted 12 points in the win at Lincoln Christian, and finished with ten points and four steals at Olivet Nazarene last weekend.
• As a team, the Trojans rank 23rd in the NAIA in free throw shooting, connecting at the charity stripe with a .730 percentage. Trinity shot a season-best 19-of-20 (.950) from the free throw line in the win over Calumet St. Joseph on Dec. 10.
• On the defensive end, Trinity holds their opponents to a .365 shooting percentage, good for 23rd-lowest in the NAIA.
• TIU head coach Laurel Wartluft earned her 360th career victory at Lincoln Christian on Tuesday. Wartluft is one of 15 active coaches in NAIA Division II with 350 or more victories.
• Trinity is averaging 61.9 points per game as a team, good for 12th in the CCAC. Defensively, the Trojans allow an average of 66.4 points per game, ranking 5th in the league.
• St. Francis is 3rd in the league in points scored, with 78.8 points per game, and rank 2nd in points allowed, giving up just 59.5 points each night.
• Trinity ranks 5th in the CCAC with an average of 10.8 steals per game. Sarina Falvo leads the team with 1.9 steals per game, and is tied for 15th among the CCAC leaders.
• The Trojans are looking to improve upon last season's record of 8-19, which was the program's highest win total in three seasons.

Series History

• Saturday will be the 13th meeting between the Trojans and Tigers since the 2003-04 season. St. Francis leads the series 8-4.
• The Saints have won five of the last six meetings, with the Trojans' last victory coming in Feburary 2013, by a 69-68 margin.

Last Time Out vs. St. Francis

• Three Trojans finished in double figures, but a hot-shooting St. Francis squad knocked down 11 three-pointers to pull away from Trinity, as the Trojans fell to the 5th-ranked Saints, 87-63 on Jan. 23, 2016.
• JaToya Woods led TIU with 23 points, reaching the 20-point mark for the seventh time this season, with a 15-for-18 performance from the free throw line. Sarina Falvo recorded 17 points on 5-of-10 shooting from the field, and 7-of-8 shooting from the charity stripe. Rayelle Ross collected 13 points, just one bucket shy of her career high as a Trojan.

Scouting the Opponent

• The No. 1 Saints have gone unbeaten so far in the 2016-17 season, and are most recently coming off of a 65-45 road win at Indiana-South Bend on Wednesday.
• St. Francis ranks 5th in the NAIA in assists per game (19.0) and assist-turnover ratio (1.4).
• USF averages a winning margin of 19.3 points per contest, the 10th-highest margin in the NAIA.
• Four players average double figures, led by Charnelle Reed's 15.7 points per game.

National Leaders

• Sarina Falvo ranks 12th among the NAIA national leaders in free throw shooting, connecting at the stripe with an .861 percentage.

Trojan Program History

• Head Coach Laurel Wartluft is one of the winningest active head coaches in the NAIA; Wartluft has collected 360 wins over her 26 years as a head coach.
• TIU has made two appearances at the NAIA Women's Basketball Championship, in 1992-93, and 1994-95. The Trojans lost in the first round both times, to College of the Ozarks (Mo.) in 1993, and Western Oregon in 1995.
• Since 2003-04, TIU has posted an overall record of 165-254 (.394).
•Trinity International has never appeared in the NAIA Coaches Poll since it's debut in 1999-00.

1,000 Point Club

• Five Trojans have reached 1,000 career points, most recently Brittany Simon (2009-13), with 1,019 points.
• Basha Ramsey is the active career leader in scoring, with 647 points.
