Box Score SOUTH BEND, Ind. - A slow shooting start to the first half was too much to overcome on Saturday as the TIU Women's Basketball team suffered their first CCAC loss of the season, falling 77-47 to the IUSB Titans.
The Trojans struggled early shooting the ball to open the game, with TIU only able to make five baskets while shooting just 18% from the field.
Kylee Daniels led TIU with 7 points at the break as the Trojans found themselves down 44-16.
In the second half the Trojans started to find their rhythm shooting the ball but the first half deficit was just too much for TIU to make up. Trinity would outscore IUSB in the second half 31-30, with
Brookelyn Robertson contributing 11 second half points, while
Bridgette Smith added 10 of her own. The Titans would hold on to the early lead built in the first half, handing the Trojans the 77-47 defeat.
The Trojans hit the floor again next Tuesday when the #2 St. Xavier Cougars come to Deerfield for a 7 pm CCACÂ matchup.
