• Trinity International prepares for the 2016-17 season finale on Saturday, when they hit the road to take on the Robert Morris Eagles.

• The Trojans are coming off of a 57-43 non-conference victory at Maranatha Baptist (Wisc.) on Tuesday, snapping a three-game slide.
• Senior guard Sarina Falvo leads the team with 10.6 points per game this season. Falvo was one of two Trojans with a team-high 11 points in the Feb. 8 game at St. Ambrose. In the earlier game with Robert Morris on Jan. 18, Falvo posted a team-high 12 points, with a 6-for-7 performance at the free throw line.
• Junior guard Tashyra Burrough is averaging 8.6 points per game this year, but finished the month of January with an average of 10.8 points in the last six games, including a career-high 21 at Olivet Nazarene on Jan. 14. On Tuesday, Burroughs posted a team-high 12 points in the win over Maranatha Baptist (Wisc.).
• Senior Rayelle Ross is third in scoring for the Trojans, with 8.1 points per game. With 20 points in the earlier win over Maranatha Baptist on Feb. 2, and 12 points against Roosevelt on Feb. 4, Ross scored double figures in two straight games for the first time since Nov. 12-16. Ross is averaging 10.2 points per game in her last five appearances.
• Senior point guard Arielle Miree is shooting a team-best 34.9% from three-point range while leading the Trojans with 2.9 assists per game. Miree posted 11 points in Saturday's game with Cardinal Stritch, her highest point total since the win over Calumet St. Joseph on Dec. 10, when she scored a career-high 26.
• After missing the first eight games of the season to injury, Basha Ramsey has averaged 6.4 points and 3.9 rebounds per game. Ramsey posted 10 points against Cardinal Stritch on Saturday.
• As a team, the Trojans rank 21st in the NAIA in free throw shooting, connecting at the charity stripe with a .833 percentage. Trinity reached the 90% mark in back-to-back games on Jan. 25-28, going 9-for-10 at the line against #4 St. Xavier, and 11-for-12 at Indiana-South Bend on Saturday. In their last three games however, the Trojans have gone a combined 26-for-42 (61.9%).
• On the defensive end, Trinity has recorded 306 total steals, 17th-most in the NAIA. The Trojans have a turnover margin of +1.4, good for 46th-best in the nation.
• TIU head coach Laurel Wartluft earned her 362nd career victory against Maranatha Baptist on Tuesday. Wartluft is one of 15 active coaches in NAIA Division II with 350 or more victories.
• Trinity is averaging 60.7 points per game as a team, good for 13th in the CCAC. Defensively, the Trojans allow an average of 66.8 points per game, ranking 6th in the league.
• Robert Morris scores 59.2 points per game on average, good for 14th in the CCAC. On the defensive end, the Eagles give up 73.4 points per contest, to rank 12th in the conference.
• Trinity ranks 4th in the CCAC with an average of 10.9 steals per game. Sarina Falvo leads the team with 48 steals on the season.
• With the win on Tuesday, the Trojans matched last season's win total. A victory over Robert Morris on Saturday would secure the program's best record since the 2012-13 campaign, when the Trojans finished 12-19.
Series History
• Tuesday marks the 15th meeting between the Trojans and Eagles in each program's history, with Robert Morris holding an 12-2 advantage in the series. Trinity claimed the first two victories, but RMU has since won 12 straight, going back to the 2006-07 season.
Last Time Out vs. Robert Morris
• Three Trojans finished in double figures, led by Tashyra Burrough's 15 points, but the visiting Eagles used a third period rally to defeat Trinity 78-70 on Jan. 18.
• Freshman Brookelyn Robertson would lead the way in the second half, scoring 10 of her 12 points after the break, on 4-of-9 shooting. Robertson also led the Trojans with eight rebounds on the night.
Scouting the Opponent
• The Eagles hold an 9-20 overall record, and are 7-12 in the CCAC, good for 9th in the conference standings and just one game behind a potential playoff spot.
• Jannah Mahmoud leads the team with 17.5 points per game, and is 4th in the NAIA, averaging 2.4 blocks per game.
National Leaders
• Sarina Falvo ranks 21st among the NAIA national leaders in free throw shooting, connecting at the stripe with an .833 percentage.
Trojan Program History
• Head Coach Laurel Wartluft is one of the winningest active head coaches in the NAIA; Wartluft has collected 362 wins over her 26 years as a head coach.
• TIU has made two appearances at the NAIA Women's Basketball Championship, in 1992-93, and 1994-95. The Trojans lost in the first round both times, to College of the Ozarks (Mo.) in 1993, and Western Oregon in 1995.
• Since 2003-04, TIU has posted an overall record of 167-261 (.390).
•Trinity International has never appeared in the NAIA Coaches Poll since it's debut in 1999-00.
Record Book
• Five Trojans have reached 1,000 career points, most recently Brittany Simon (2009-13), with 1,104 points.
• Basha Ramsey is the active career leader in scoring, with 696 points. With 13 more points, Basha can move into 10th on TIU's all-time scoring list, matching Rachel Edelen (2004-08) with 709 career points.
• Ramsey also currently 6th in the TIU record books with 477 career rebounds, surpassing Edelen with four rebounds against Cardinal Stritch on Saturday.
• Senior guard Arielle Miree has recorded 240 career assists in her four seasons as a Trojan, good for 3rd-most in program history. Her 176 career steals rank 7th in the TIU record books.
