• Trinity International goes for their second win in a row on Saturday night, when they host the Roosevelt Lakers in the next-to-last home game of the year.

• The Trojans are coming off of an 84-57 win over Maranatha Baptist (Wisc.) on Thursday, setting a new season high in points scored.
• Senior guard Sarina Falvo leads the team with 10.9 points per game this season. Falvo led the Trojans with 13 points in the Jan. 25 game against #4 St. Xavier, one of two double-figure performances in the last four games.
• Junior guard Tashyra Burrough is averaging 9.0 points per game this year, but finishes the month of January with an average of 10.8 points in the last six games, including a career-high 21 at Olivet Nazarene on Jan. 14. Burroughs posted 15 points on 4-of-9 shooting from three-point range in the win over Maranatha Baptist (Wisc.) on Thursday.
• Senior Rayelle Ross is third in scoring for the Trojans, with 8.1 points per game. Ross scored a team-high 20 points, going 8-for-14 from the field in the win over Maranatha Baptist (Wisc.) on Thursday.
• Senior point guard Arielle Miree is shooting a team-best 35.1% from three-point range while leading the Trojans with 3.2 assists per game. Miree dealt out six assists in the win on Thursday night, the most since her nine-assist performance at Olivet Nazarene on Jan. 14.
• After missing the first eight games of the season to injury, Basha Ramsey has averaged 6.4 points and 4.0 rebounds per game. Ramsey posted 12 points in the win at Lincoln Christian on Jan. 17, and finished with ten points and four steals at Olivet Nazarene on Jan. 14.
• As a team, the Trojans rank 13th in the NAIA in free throw shooting, connecting at the charity stripe with a .741 percentage. Trinity reached the 90% mark in back-to-back games on Jan. 25-28, going 9-for-10 at the line against #4 St. Xavier, and 11-for-12 at Indiana-South Bend on Saturday. Against Maranatha, the Trojans finished 8-for-9 (88.9%).
• On the defensive end, Trinity holds their opponents to a .374 shooting percentage, good for 39th-lowest in the NAIA.
• TIU head coach Laurel Wartluft earned her 361st career victory against Maranatha Baptist on Thursday. Wartluft is one of 15 active coaches in NAIA Division II with 350 or more victories.
• Trinity is averaging 61.8 points per game as a team, good for 12th in the CCAC. Defensively, the Trojans allow an average of 67.3 points per game, ranking 8th in the league.
• Roosevelt averages 63.2 points per game, the 11th-best offense in the league. The Lakers rank 5th in the league on defense, allowing 66.1 points per game.
• Trinity ranks 4th in the CCAC with an average of 10.9 steals per game. Sarina Falvo leads the team with 1.8 steals per game.
• The Trojans are looking to improve upon last season's record of 8-19, which was the program's highest win total in three seasons.
Series History
• Saturday marks the 12th meeting between the Trojans and Lakers, with Roosevelt holding a 10-1 lead in the all-time series.
• The Trojans lone win in the series game last season, in a 68-66 home victory on Dec. 2, 2015.
Last Time Out vs. Roosevelt
• Freshman forward Brookelyn Robertson finished with a team-leading and career-high 13 points, but a tough shooting night overall for Trinity resulted in a 73-61 road loss to the Lakers on Nov. 30.
• The Trojans struggled from beyond the arc, hitting 3-of-22 for a .136 percentage. Junior wing Nika Bracun finished with ten points on two of those three three-pointers, while Jendayi Campbell also finished with ten points after coming off the bench for the Trojans.
Scouting the Opponent
• The Lakers are currently tied for 7th in the CCAC standings, with a 6-10 record in league play. Roosevelt enters play this weekend on a two-game slide, falling et #15 Purdue-Northwest and #16 Cardinal Stritch.
• Junior Paige Gallimore ranks 3rd in the CCAC with 18.7 points per game, and 6th nationally in the NAIA with 485 total points.
National Leaders
• Sarina Falvo ranks 17th among the NAIA national leaders in free throw shooting, connecting at the stripe with an .857 percentage.
Trojan Program History
• Head Coach Laurel Wartluft is one of the winningest active head coaches in the NAIA; Wartluft has collected 361 wins over her 26 years as a head coach.
• TIU has made two appearances at the NAIA Women's Basketball Championship, in 1992-93, and 1994-95. The Trojans lost in the first round both times, to College of the Ozarks (Mo.) in 1993, and Western Oregon in 1995.
• Since 2003-04, TIU has posted an overall record of 166-258 (.392).
•Trinity International has never appeared in the NAIA Coaches Poll since it's debut in 1999-00.

• Five Trojans have reached 1,000 career points, most recently Brittany Simon (2009-13), with 1,104 points.
• Basha Ramsey is the active career leader in scoring, with 672 points.
