Quick Notes
• Trinity International heads out for their next-to-last road trip of the conference schedule on Wednesday, as the Trojans prepare to take on the St. Ambrose Bees.

• The Trojans are coming off of a 72-49 defeat to Roosevelt on Saturday, and will look to snap a seven-game slide in league play this week.
• Senior guard Sarina Falvo leads the team with 11.0 points per game this season. Falvo was one of two Trojans with a team-high 12 points in Saturday's game with Roosevelt, one of two double-figure performances in the last four games.
• Junior guard Tashyra Burrough is averaging 8.8 points per game this year, but finished the month of January with an average of 10.8 points in the last six games, including a career-high 21 at Olivet Nazarene on Jan. 14. Burroughs posted 15 points on 4-of-9 shooting from three-point range in the win over Maranatha Baptist (Wisc.) on Thursday.
• Senior Rayelle Ross is third in scoring for the Trojans, with 8.3 points per game. With 20 points in the win over Maranatha Baptist and 12 points against Roosevelt, Ross scored double figures in two straight games for the first time since Nov. 12-16.
• Senior point guard Arielle Miree is shooting a team-best 33.3% from three-point range while leading the Trojans with 3.1 assists per game. Miree dealt out six assists in the win last Thursday night, the most since her nine-assist performance at Olivet Nazarene on Jan. 14.
• After missing the first eight games of the season to injury, Basha Ramsey has averaged 6.3 points and 4.1 rebounds per game. Ramsey posted 12 points in the win at Lincoln Christian on Jan. 17, and finished with ten points and four steals at Olivet Nazarene on Jan. 14.
• As a team, the Trojans rank 13th in the NAIA in free throw shooting, connecting at the charity stripe with a .740 percentage. Trinity reached the 90% mark in back-to-back games on Jan. 25-28, going 9-for-10 at the line against #4 St. Xavier, and 11-for-12 at Indiana-South Bend on Saturday. Against Maranatha, the Trojans finished 8-for-9 (88.9%).
• On the defensive end, Trinity holds their opponents to a .374 shooting percentage, good for 39th-lowest in the NAIA.
• TIU head coach Laurel Wartluft earned her 361st career victory against Maranatha Baptist on Thursday. Wartluft is one of 15 active coaches in NAIA Division II with 350 or more victories.
• Trinity is averaging 61.2 points per game as a team, good for 13th in the CCAC. Defensively, the Trojans allow an average of 67.5 points per game, ranking 7th in the league.
• St. Ambrose averages 64.9 points per game, the 8th-best offense in the league. The Bees rank 10th in the league on defense, allowing 70.6 points per game.
• Trinity ranks 4th in the CCAC with an average of 10.9 steals per game. Sarina Falvo leads the team with 43 steals on the season.
• The Trojans are looking to improve upon last season's record of 8-19, which was the program's highest win total in three seasons.
Series History
• Saturday marks the 9th meeting between the Trojans and Bees, with St. Ambrose holding an 8-0 lead in the all-time series.
• The Trojans closest game was their most recent, a seven-point, 64-57 loss earlier this year on Jan. 3.
Last Time Out vs. St. Ambrose
• Senior guard Rayelle Ross posted a team-high 17 points on Jan. 3, hitting a career-high five three-pointers, but Trinity were unable to hold on to their early lead, falling to the Bees 64-57 inside Van Dixhorn Arena.
• Sarina Falvo finished the night with 14 points, thanks in part to a 7-of-8 performance from the free throw line. Brookelyn Robertson collected nine points off the bench, in just 12 minutes of play, going 4-of-8 from the field.
Scouting the Opponent
• The Bees are currently 13th in the CCAC standings, 2.5 games outside of a spot for the CCAC Tournament with a 4-12 record in league play. St. Ambrose have won two of their last three games, but are coming off an 84-67 loss at #16 Cardinal Stritch.
• Junior Reeann McCarty leads the team with 13.0 points per game, and ranks 6th in the NAIA with an .889 free throw percentage.
National Leaders
• Sarina Falvo ranks 13th among the NAIA national leaders in free throw shooting, connecting at the stripe with an .859 percentage.
Trojan Program History
• Head Coach Laurel Wartluft is one of the winningest active head coaches in the NAIA; Wartluft has collected 361 wins over her 26 years as a head coach.
• TIU has made two appearances at the NAIA Women's Basketball Championship, in 1992-93, and 1994-95. The Trojans lost in the first round both times, to College of the Ozarks (Mo.) in 1993, and Western Oregon in 1995.
• Since 2003-04, TIU has posted an overall record of 166-259 (.391).
•Trinity International has never appeared in the NAIA Coaches Poll since it's debut in 1999-00.

• Five Trojans have reached 1,000 career points, most recently Brittany Simon (2009-13), with 1,104 points.
• Basha Ramsey is the active career leader in scoring, with 676 points.
