Box Score DEERFIELD, Ill. - In their final game of the regular season, Trinity International finished on a high note, defeating Mount Mary (Wisc.) 10-0 in the first game of a scheduled doubleheader on Saturday. With heavy rain moving into the area, game two was rained out and canceled after two innings.

Taylor Carli pitched her third complete game shutout of the season, holding the Blue Angels (14-19) to just two hits while striking out five hitters over five innings.
The Trojans (14-25) struck early, scoring three runs in the 1st inning. After
Payton Carli led off with a bunt single and stolen base,
Jessica Vroman reached on a fielder's choice. Freshman third baseman
Sara Grygus then put Trinity in front with a two-RBI double in the next at-bat.
Alyssa Doomis put the Trojans ahead 3-0 with another double, driving in Grygus.
One of Trinity's highest-scoring innings of the season came in the bottom of the 3rd, with seven runs scored on eight hits including three doubles and a triple.
Taylor Carli and Grygus each recorded two RBIs in the rally, giving the Trojans the 10-0 advantage.
Grygus finished 3-for-3 on the day, with four RBI and two runs scored.
Payton Carli and
Alyssa Doomis each collected two hits apiece on the day.
With the win, the Trojans finish the regular season with 14 victories, their highest win total since 2007, and their first season with double-digit wins in a decade.
