Series History
• This weekend will be the 7th meeting all-time between the Trojans and Cardinals, with both sides meeting each year since 2011.
• Concordia earned their second win in the series last season, with a 41-24 win in Ann Arbor on Sept. 24th.
• The Trojans have outscored Concordia by a combined 91-3 margin in the two previous road games, in 2012 and 2014.
Last Time vs Concordia
• Down 27-24 late in the 4th quarter the Trojans had multiple opportunities to come back but were unable to get anything going offensively as they fell 41-24 to the Cardinals in an MSFA crossover last season.
• Trinity held a 17-14 advantage midway through the second quarter, following a 41-yard Touchdown pass to Brad Hargis, but Concordia responded two scores before the end of the half giving them a 20-17 lead, and they wouldn't look back from there.
• TIU WR Brad Hargis finished with 171 yards on 4 catches; the senior also scored snagged two touchdowns, with one going for 92 yards.
• J.J. Burmeister played the majority of snaps going 8-13 for 179 yards, with two touchdowns and no interceptions.
About Concordia
• The Cardinals opened the season with a road victory over Davenport University; defeating the Panthers 25-6.
• Offensively, Concordia is led by their Sophomore Running Back Joe Conner who ran for 178 yards and three touchdowns int he victory last weekend.
• The Cardinal defense was strong in their season opener holding the Panthers to 144 yards of total offense, including just 22 yards on the ground.

Leslie Frazier Field
• TIU is 13-24 at home in the Wherritt era, and are 54-81-1 all-time at Frazier Field.
• The Trojans are 15-11-1 all-time in home openers, and have won the first game of the year at Frazier Field in five of the the past seven seasons.
• TIU's head coach for the inaugural season in 1989 through 1996 was Leslie Frazier. Frazier was a member of the 1985 Super Bowl Champion Chicago Bears, and is currently the Defensive Coordinator of the NFL's Buffalo Bills. He had a record of 38-37-3 while at TIU, and remains the winningest coach in Trinity International history.
Trojan Football History
• The Trinity International Trojan football program has an all-time record of 107-175-2 (.375), dating back to their first season as a varsity program in 1990.
• Trinity has won three MSFA Midwest League titles in school history (1994, 1995, 2003).
• TIU has earned two NAIA Football Championship Series berths (1994, 2004). The program is still searching for their first NAIA playoff victory, falling to Northwestern (Iowa) and Georgetown (Ky.), respectively.
• TIU has one appearance in the NCCAA Victory Bowl, where they fell to Garner-Webb (N.C.), 54-14, in 2001.
Offensive Leaders
• Senior quarterback Danny Mattero is averaging 179 passing yards per game this season, completing 61.5 percent of his passes and throwing two TDs on the year.
• Senior Brad Hargis leads the Trojan receiving corps with 3 receptions, 71 yards, and a touchdowns.
• Junior quarterback Chris Wolcott leads the Trojans with 84 yards on the ground while adding a touchdown.
Defensive Leaders
• The Trojan defensive backfield racked up four interceptions in their win over Wisconsin Lutheran, with Bradley Mowbray, Achike Morah, Mario Williams, and Noah Acoccella each picking off the Warriors once.
• Godfrey Collins II recorded seven tackles, including four tackles for loss against Wisconsin Lutheran on Sept. 2, and is now the team leader. Collins also added his first sack of the season while forcing a fumble to lead the Trojan defense
TIU in the Polls
• The Trojans are currently unranked; their last appearance in the coaches' poll was in 2013.
• Trinity was ranked as high as No. 21 on Oct. 7, 2013, following their win over Olivet Nazarene.
• Before the 2013 season, Trinity's last ranking came in 2005 (No. 24, Sept. 19).
• TIU has been ranked 29 times in the program's history, and holds an all-time record of 15-12 (.556) as a nationally-ranked team.
• The Trojans are 7-51 (.121) all-time against ranked opponents, and 55-70 (.440) against unranked teams.
• When TIU is unranked, they are 51-120 (.298) since the poll's debut in 1999.
NCCAA Victory Bowl
• The top two teams in the NCCAA based on Massey Rating will meet at the end of the season in the 2017 Victory Bowl.
• The Trojans moved up a spot in this weeks poll, to No. 2 in the NCCAA rankings. TIU is the 2nd-ranked NAIA program in the NCCAA standings.
