Box Score PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. - It was a tough afternoon for the Lady Trojans as TIU suffered their 5th straight defeat after falling 76-47 to Trinity Christian College on Saturday afternoon.
The opening half saw a solid shooting performance from the Trojans, as TIU would knock down 55% of their shots from the field. After a few early buckets from
Bridgette Smith the Trojans grabbed a 6-2 lead, but would not find themselves ahead the rest of the way.
Trinity Christian, one of the top teams in the CCACÂ shot a combined 48% during the game, including a 24 point first quarter that set the tone for the rest of the game. TCC continued their strong offensive performance the rest of the eay, outscoring the Trojans in the three remaining quarters.
The Trolls forced 40 Trojans turnovers during the afternoon, scoring 46 points off of the turnovers en route to a 76-47 victory over the Trojans.
The Trojans look to get back on track next Wednesday when they host #18 St. Francis inside the Van Dixhorn Arena at 5:30 PM.
