Box Score CHICAGO, Ill. - It was a tough afternoon for the TIU Women's Basketball team as a shorthanded Lady Trojan squad struggled to keep pace with the #4 ranked SXU Cougars, eventually suffering a 101-42 loss on Saturday afternoon.

Three Trojans finished in double figures on Saturday, Tashyra Burrough and Kylee Daniels led the way for TIU, each tallying 12 points in the loss. Brandilyn Robertson had a solid afternoon as well for TIU, scoring 10 points while grabbing 5 boards.

The Lady Trojans just could not seem to overcome a slow start to the 1st Quarter as SXU poured in 31 points in the first 10 minutes, while the Trojans would manage just 3. The second frame saw back and forth action from both sides as TIU held St. Xavier to just 12 points, making it a 41-15 game at the break.

In the second half the Trojans were unable to dig out of the early hole, mustering just 27 points while St. Xavier added 58 points, handing TIU the 101-42 loss.

TIU will look to get back on track this coming Wednesday when they travel to Elgin for another tough matchup against Judson University.
