CHICAGO, Ill. --- The Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference's (CCAC) announced their slate of postseason awards on Tuesday morning, following the conclusion of the conference tournament last weekend. After a historic conference season, the Trojans received their first all-conference nod in five seasons as
Trenton Garside was named second team all-conference.
Garside, a senior from Allen, Texas earns his first all-conference honor after a stellar season leading the Trojans offense efforts. With a team-high 10 goals and 22 points, Garside snags a top ten spot in TIU history for single season for goals scored. He also had the highest number of game winning goals, securing four throughout the season to rank second in the conference in the category and tie the TIU single season record while moving to second in career records. Garside totals 19 goals and nine assists throughout his career while playing 3,782 minutes.
TIU heads back out to the field tomorrow afternoon for the NCCAA North Central Regional Championship against Judson University. Playing for a bid to the NCCAA National Tournament, the Trojans kick off at 2:00pm in Elgin, Illinois.
