Quick Notes
• With five matches remaining, the Trinity International is just three points out of a playoff spot in the upcoming CCAC Tournament, as the Trojans take on Cardinal Stritch on the road Saturday night. The Wolves are one of the teams tied for the last spot in the tourney, so a win this weekend would go a long way for the Trojans' postseason hopes. Kickoff in Glendale, Wisc. at the Bavarian Soccer Complex is set for 5:00 p.m.
• The Trojans picked up a point in the standings last Saturday, with a 3-3 draw against Calumet St. Joseph on Homecoming.
• The next victory this year for Trinity will surpass last years' win total, giving them five wins this season.
• The Trojans currently rank fourth in the CCAC with 30 goals on the year, and are 47th on the NAIA leaderboard. Cardinal Stritch has struggled to find the back of the net this year, averaging a CCAC-low 1.08 goals per match.
• Defensively, the Trojans have posted goals-against average of 1.65, good for 4th in the CCAC. Cardinal Stritch sits 8th in the league, with a GAA of 1.93.
Last Time Out
• The Trojans went 0-1-1 during their two-match homestand last week, falling 3-0 to St. Xavier on Wednesday, before earning a 3-3 draw against Calumet St. Joseph on Saturday.
• Trinity jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the 60th minute over the Crimson Wave, but three scores for CCSJ in a span of 10 minutes forced extra time. The Trojans outshot the Wave 4-1 in the extra session, but could not find the game-winning goal.
• Joey Sanborn (3), Brett Robinson (2), and Francesco De Felice (1) all scored for the Trojans on Saturday, before Calumet made their comeback run. For De Felice, the goal was the first in his collegiate career.
• Goalkeeper Sean Avila made a total of three saves over both matches, while Brad Stough collected four saves after coming in for Avila, who left the match due to injury.
40th Anniversary
• This season marks the 40th anniversary of the 1974 NCCAA National Championship, won by Trinity College. The Trojans were one of four Christian colleges to be invited to the tournament, which was in its third year of existance.
• Hosted by Covenant College (Ga.), Trinity College defeated Bryan (Tenn.) 3-2 in the semifinals, before earning a 2-1 win over Messiah (Pa.).
• The 2014 squad will honor the NCCAA Champions with a special patch on their warmup jackets. The Trinity Soccer shield is featured in gold trim, along with a gold star above the shield, signifying the program's lone national title.
• Since 1974, Trinity has made 5 appearances in the NCCAA National Tournament, most recently in 2008. The Trojans hold a 7-5 record in NCCAA Tournament play.

Team Stats
• As a team, Trinity International ranks 4th in the CCAC in points (87), goals (30), goals per game (2.31), and are 3rd in assists (27), and assists per game (2.08).
• Nationally, TIU ranks 25th in the NAIA in total assists, 30th in assists per game, and 47th in total goals scored.
• The Trojans currently average the fewest fouls per match in the CCAC, at 9.00, and are the only team in the league under 11 fouls per match. The team has collected only seven yellow cards on the season, tied for fewest in the conference.
• Defensively, the Trojans average 1.69 goals allowed per game, ranking 4th in the CCAC. Trojan goalkeepers have averaged 4.92 saves in each match, the third-highest average in the league. TIU has two shutouts on the year, against Iowa Wesleyan and at Olivet Nazarene, but are four more clean sheets off the conference lead, held by ONU and Roosevelt.
Individual Stats
• Sophomore Zach Reget leads the Trojans with seven goals scored this season, good for 8th in the CCAC. Nationally, Reget ranks 32nd in the NAIA, with 2.1 shots on goal per match.
• Reget is 7th in the CCAC, with an average of 1.70 points per match, and 10th in total points, with 17 this season.
• Senior Sean Avila has been one of the top goalkeepers in the league, with a 1.47 goals-against average that ranks 4th. Avila also has the CCAC's third-best save percentage, at .725, and is seventh in the league with 37 saves made this season.
• Against Bethel (Ind.) on Aug. 26, sophomore Brad Stough made 13 saves in a 3-1 loss. His 13 saves are the highest single-game total by a CCAC keeper this season
• The 13 saves were the most by a Trojan goalkeeper since 2008, when Lucas Zicher made 17 stops in a 2-1 loss to Hope (Mich.) on Sept. 5.
Scouting the Opponents
Cardinal Stritch
• The Wolves sit in a tie for the seventh and final spot in the CCAC Tournament, but are looking to snap a current three-match losing streak.
• The team is averaging 1.08 goals per game, which ranks last in the CCAC. Defensively, their 1.93 goals against average is 8th-best in the conference.
• Cardinal Stritch returns two All-CCAC first teamers from last season, including leading scorer Oliver Bell, and goalkeeper Jim Jones. Jones leads the CCAC in both saves per match (5.92) and total saves (71), and ranks 2nd in the league in save percentage, at .755.
• CSU has gone 5-2 against Trinity International since 2007, and have won five of their last six meetings with the Trojans.
