 • With four matches remaining, Trinity International are just six points out of a playoff spot in the upcoming CCAC Tournament, as the Trojans host the Roosevelt Lakers this Saturday at Schartner Field. The Lakers are one of the contenders for the top seed in the upcoming tourney, and a victory for the Trojans would go a long way towards their playoff hopes.  • The Trojans are looking to bounce back after a 2-0 loss at the hands of Cardinal Stritch last weekend, and currently sit 11th in the CCAC standings.
 • The next victory this year for Trinity will surpass last years' win total, giving them five wins this season.
 • The Trojans currently rank fifth in the CCAC with 30 goals on the year. Roosevelt is the top-scoring team in the league, with 62 total goals scored, and an NAIA-best average of 4.43 goals per match.
 • Defensively, the Trojans have posted goals-against average of 1.67, good for 5th in the CCAC. Roosevelt tops the conference with a GAA of 0.90.
Last Time Out  Â
 • In their only night match of the season, the Trojans generated 11 shots, but were unable to find the back of the net, falling on the road to Cardinal Stritch 2-0.
 • The Wolves put up a goal in both halves, taking the lead in the 15th minute, then adding to their lead with another score in the 66th minute.
 • Zach Reget led the Trojan attack with five shots and four shots on goal. Francesco De Felice and David Hasbani had two shots apiece.
 • Goalkeeper Sean Avila made a season-high ten saves on the night, facing 16 shots overall.
40th Anniversary  Â
 • This season marks the 40th anniversary of the 1974 NCCAA National Championship, won by Trinity College. The Trojans were one of four Christian colleges to be invited to the tournament, which was in its third year of existance.Â
 • Hosted by Covenant College (Ga.), Trinity College defeated Bryan (Tenn.) 3-2 in the semifinals, before earning a 2-1 win over Messiah (Pa.).
 • The 2014 squad will honor the NCCAA Champions with a special patch on their warmup jackets. The Trinity Soccer shield is featured in gold trim, along with a gold star above the shield, signifying the program's lone national title.
 • Since 1974, Trinity has made 5 appearances in the NCCAA National Tournament, most recently in 2008. The Trojans hold a 7-5 record in NCCAA Tournament play.

Team Stats
 • As a team, Trinity International ranks 3rd in assists (27) and assists per game (1.93), 4th in the CCAC in goals per game (2.14), and are 5th in points (87), and goals (30).
 • Nationally, TIU ranks 41st in the NAIA in total assists, and 40th in assists per game.
 • The Trojans currently average the fewest fouls per match in the CCAC, at 8.93, and are the only team in the league under 11 fouls per match. The team has collected only eight yellow cards on the season, fewest in the conference.
 • Defensively, the Trojans average 1.71 goals allowed per game, ranking 4th in the CCAC. Trojan goalkeepers have averaged 5.29 saves in each match, tied for the fourth-highest average in the league. TIU has two shutouts on the year, against Iowa Wesleyan and at Olivet Nazarene, but are five more clean sheets off the conference lead, held Roosevelt.
Individual Stats
 • Sophomore Zach Reget leads the Trojans with seven goals scored this season, good for 9th in the CCAC. Nationally, Reget ranks 25th in the NAIA, with 2.27 shots on goal per match.
 • Reget is 8th in the CCAC, with an average of 1.55 points per match, and 3rd in the league with 3.55 shots taken per match.
 • Senior Sean Avila has been one of the top goalkeepers in the league, with a 1.52 goals-against average that ranks 5th. Avila also has the CCAC's third-best save percentage, at .746, and is 4th in the league with 47 saves made this season.
 • Against Bethel (Ind.) on Aug. 26, sophomore Brad Stough made 13 saves in a 3-1 loss. His 13 saves are the highest single-game total by a CCAC keeper this season. Avila reached the double-digit saves mark last week, with 10 stops at Cardinal Stritch.
 • The 13 saves by Stough were the most by a Trojan goalkeeper since 2008, when Lucas Zicher made 17 stops in a 2-1 loss to Hope (Mich.) on Sept. 5.
Scouting the Opponents
Roosevelt
 • The Lakers sit in a tie for second in the CCAC standings, and are just one point off the conference lead with two games in hand over the leaders St. Xavier.
 • Roosevelt had an 11-match win streak, but it was snapped earlier this week, in a 1-0 loss at home to Purdue-Calumet.
 • The Lakers return a pair of All-CCAC starters from last season, including junior goalkeeper Jake Ciglenik, who ranks 2nd in the CCAC with a 1.05 goals against average.
 • The top-scoring team in the league, Roosevelt has three players in the top five of the CCAC goal-scoring leaders, led by Evan Trychta, with 13 goals. Jose Garcia is the national leader in the NAIA with 14 total assists.
 • Roosevelt has defeated the Trojans in the previous two meetings, each by one-goal margins: 2-1 in Deerfield in 2012, and 1-0 at Toyota Park last season.
