TRINITY INTERNATIONAL TROJANS (4-2) vs. CLARKE (Iowa) CRUSADERS (6-3)
Saturday, September 26 | 2:30 p.m.
Schartner Field | Deerfield, Ill.
This Week  Â
 • Trinity International begins a stretch of four out of the next five matches at home, beginning with the first conference match at Schartner Field this season; the Trojans will host the St. Xavier Cougars for a mid-week affair on Tuesday at 4 p.m., before taking on the Clarke (Iowa) Crusaders on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
 • Tuesday's matchup with the Cougars will be streamed live online, at TIUTrojans.com.
 • The Trojan offense has enjoyed it's highest-scoring run in recent memory this season; Trinity leads the CCAC and ranks 20th nationally in the NAIA with an average of 3.33 goals per match.
 • Defensively, the team has allowed the second-fewest number of goals on average, with just five scores given up in six matches. Nationally, the team ranks 21st in shutouts, earning the clean sheet in an even 50% of their matches.
 • Through the first six matches of the season, 11 different players have already found the back of the net, led by junior Zach Reget, who has four goals on the year.
 • With a win either on Tuesday, Saturday, or on Sept. 30 at Purdue-Calumet, the Trojans will surpass last season's win total within the first month of the season. A fifth victory would be the most for TIU since the 2010 season; the Trojans recorded four wins in each of the past three campaigns.
Last Time Out  Â
 • TIU picked up their third shutout victory on Wednesday, with a 5-0 defeat of Moody Bible (Ill.), before falling on the road in the CCAC opener at Robert Morris, 3-0.
 • Looking dominant from the first whistle, against the Archers, four different Trojans scored in the win, as sophomore Zach Cemail put away two goals on the day.
 • The Trojans' four-match win streak was snapped Saturday night, after the host Eagles scored three second-half goals for the win. Trinity played Robert Morris to a scorless first half, before the Eagles broke through with their first score in the 53rd minute.
Last Time vs. St. Xavier & Clarke  Â
 • Led by a pair of goals from Zach Reget, Trinity International secured their first win of the 2014 season on the road, taking a 3-1 victory over Clarke on Sept. 3. Reget scored twice in under two minutes at the start of the second half to give TIU a lead they would not relinquish the rest of the night.
 • After a week on the road, the Trinity International offense struggled in their return to Schartner Field, falling at home to the St. Xavier Cougars, 3-0 on Oct. 8, 2014. The loss was the third shutout for the TIU attack in their last four matches, after scoring at least one goal in each of their first eight matches of the season.
Series History  Â
 • St. Xavier holds a 9-1 advantage in meetings with Trinity since 2007. The last Trojan win came on Oct. 18, 2008, in a 1-0 decision in Chicago.
 • Saturday marks the third meeting in the past five years between the Trojans and Crusaders, with TIU winning both previous matchups. Trinity won at home in 2012 by a 2-0 score, and again in 2014, 3-1.
League Leaders  Â
 • Freshman keeper Jared Yonke is the CCAC leader in three categories: save percentage (.875), shutouts (3), and shutouts per match (0.60). Nationally, Yonke is 20th in the NAIA in goals-against average, at 0.79.
 • Brett Robinson has dealt out four assists on the season, good for 34th in the NAIA, and second in the CCAC.
 • Zach Reget is among the CCAC's top ten in nearly every category; the Trojans' leading scorer is 2nd in shots per game (4.00) 3rd in points per game (2.00), 4th in total goals and goals per game (4; 0.80 per match), and 9th in assists (2).
 • Nationally, Reget is 37th in the NAIA in shots per game, and 46th in shots on goal per game (2.00).
 • Freshman forward Jordan Dejno is currently tied for 9th in the CCAC, with eight points this season.
Scouting the Opponent  Â
St. Xavier
 • The Cougars are coming off an overtime loss at Aquinas (Mich.) that snapped a three-match undefeated streak. SXU holds a 3-3 mark before their first conference match with TIU on Tuesday.
 • SXU have scored just five goals in their first six matches of the season, but the defense has played well as of late, conceding just two goals in their last four contests, including three matches that went to extra time.
 • Ricardo Aldape leads the team with an average of 2.83 shots taken per match, and is tied for 9th in the CCAC.
 • Five different players have scored for the Cougars, but no player has more than a single goal this season.
Clarke (Iowa)
 • The Crusaders have a 6-3 record this season, and have won four of their last five matches.
 • Clarke is averaging 3.44 goals per match, and have been shutout just once so far this year. Last week, the Crusaders took a 10-0 win over Emmaus Bible (Iowa) for their highest-scoring match in 2015.
 • Senior midfielder Anthony Pantaleo returns to the Crusaders after getting an All-Midwest Collegiate Conference Honorable Mention nod last season. Jordan Perry already has 10 goals this season, with six coming against Iowa Wesleyan on Sept. 1, and another two against Emmaus Bible.
Looking Ahead  Â
 • The Trojans travel to Purdue-Calumet on Wednesday, September 30, before returning home for the start of another two-match homestand beginning Oct. 3. Trinity will host St. Francis for an 11:00 a.m. start during Homecoming Saturday.
