The home team took the lead in the 7th minute, after both sides took shots on goal that were stopped by their respective goalkeepers. CU's Rickard Hallin put the Tigers (4-0) in front early, before a penalty was called on the Trojans (1-4) in the 27th minute. Campbellsville converted the PK, and went into the halftime break leading 2-0. Trinity managed three first half shots, with one on goal, as the Tigers outshot TIU 15-3 at the half.
Campbellsville continued to control possession, outshooting Trinity by a 17-5 margin in the second half. Another penalty in the 67th minute extended CU's lead to 3-0, before an 84th minute score finished out the scoring on the day.
