Trojans earn draw at Moody Bible

Box Score CHICAGO, Ill. - Trinity International were seconds away from taking the road victory, but a late equalizer sent Wednesday night's match at Moody Bible (Ill.) into extra time, resulting in a 1-1 draw for the Trojans.

Box Score

An own goal in the 32nd minute put the Trojans (1-4-1) in front, as a Moody defender inadvertently headed the ball out of reach of the keeper on a clearance attempt. Despite out-shooting the Archers (1-3-1) by a 37-5 margin on the night, Trinity were unable to find the back of the net throughout the rest of the night.

The Archers broke though with 1:45 remaining in regulation to even the match. Both sides would play two scoreless extra sessions to earn the draw.

Francesco De Felice led Trinity with a career-high 13 shots on the night, while Zach Reget made six attempts at goal.

The Trojans return to Schartner Field on Saturday, when they begin conference play with a matchup against Robert Morris. Kickoff with the Eagles is set for 2:30 p.m.
