  • Trinity International prepares for the first night match of the season on Wednesday, when they look to make it two straight wins in conference play after a visit to St. Xavier.

 • The Trojans went unbeaten in two matches last week, with a 1-1 draw at Moody Bible (Ill.) on Sept. 14, and a 2-1 home win over Robert Morris last Saturday.
 • Zach Reget and Nathaniel Michaelis are currently tied for the team lead, with two goals apiece. Four other players have a goal this season.
 • The Trojans currently lead the CCAC with 131 shots on the year, an average of 18.7 per match. Trinity also leads the league with 68 shots on goal so far in 2016.
 • Reget ranks 6th in the NAIA, with an average of 3.0 shots on goal per match, and 12th with 5.1 shots per game.Â
 • With a draw against St. Xavier on Wednesday night, the Trojans will match their best record through the first two conference matches in a decade. Trinity earned four points through the first two games in 2010, with a win over Holy Cross, and a draw at No. 16 Judson.
 • As a team, the Trojans are averaging 1.14 goals per game, tied for 7th in the CCAC. St. Xavier has recorded 0.5 goals per match, tied for 12th in the league. Defensively, TIU allows 2.29 goals each contest, tied for the 10th-best average in the league, while the Cougars have given up 1.83 goals per match to rank 7th.
Last Time Out
 • Francesco De Feliceís 58th minute goal proved to be the difference, as the junior recorded his first career game-winner in Trinity Internationalís 2-1 win over Robert Morris, at Schartner Field on Saturday afternoon.
 • Sophomore Krystian Streit buried his first collegiate goal in the 19th minute, to put TIU in front 1-0. Robert Morris did eventually find the equalizer, coming out of the break strong and scoring in the 50th minute, on a goal from Voislov Ilic.
Series History
 • The Trojans and Cougars have matched up 11 times in the past nine seasons, with St. Xavier holding a 9-2 advantage in the series.
 • Last season, Trinity snapped a six-game losing streak against SXU, with a 3-2 win on Sept. 22. It was the first time that the Trojans had recorded more than one goal against the Cougars since Oct. 6, 2007.

St. Xavier
 • The Cougars are looking for their first win of the season after an 0-6 start in non-conference play.
 • Junior goalkeeper Frank Valle leads the CCAC and ranks 13th in the NAIA with 39 total saves, and is 19th nationally with 6.5 saves per match.

Last Time vs. SXU
 • Trailing by two scores with just under an hour to play, Trinity responded with three unanswered goals, including the game winner in the 88th minute, to defeat the visiting Cougars at Schartner Field on Sept. 22, 2015.
 • Freshman forward T.J. Cake capped off the comeback for the Trojans, with his first career game-winning goal.
Trinity Soccer History
 • TIU holds an all-time record of 341-362-57 (.486), dating back to 1969.
 • Trinity has one NCCAA National Championship, won in 1974. The Trojans were co-champs of the CCAC, in 1997, their first year in the league.
 • The program has yet to earn a berth into the NAIA Tournament.
TIU in the Polls
 • Trinity has been ranked three times since the debut of the NAIA coaches poll in 2000.
 • The Trojans earned their highest-ever rank on Oct. 18, 2004, when they debuted at #23.
 • In 2006, TIU appeared in two polls, with a high-mark of #24 on Sept. 21.
Looking Ahead
 • Trinity returns to Schartner Field for a mid-week matchup against Purdue-Northwest, on Tuesday, Sept. 27 beginning at 4:00 p.m.
 • The Trojans then hit the road for another two-game swing, beginning on Saturday, Oct. 1 at St. Francis. Kickoff with the Saints is set for 7:30 p.m.
