Men's Soccer drops home matchup with Saints

Box Score DEERFIELD, Ill. - It was another strong performance from the Trojan defense, but TIU was unable to find the back of the net for the sixth straight match as the Trojans suffered a 2-0 loss to the University of St. Francis on a rainy Saturday afternoon.

Sophomore Goalkeeper Eddie Windsor had another strong performance in goal, keeping the Trojans in the match until the final whistle. Windsor made five saves in the opening 25 minutes before the Saints got on the board to take a 1-0 lead. Joshua Yeaman blasted home the games first goal after a scramble in the box left the ball sitting on the six yard box for the easy finish.

The Saints would add to their lead in the second half when Mohamad Rashid deflected a cross from Leon Laskowski into the back fo the net to make it 2-0 in favor of the visiting team.

The Trojans had their opportunities in the second half, including five shots, with three on goal but couldn't put anything in the back of the net.

Trinity International will have the week off, but will be back in aciton next Saturday when they take on the Calumet Crimson Wave in a critical CCAC Conference match.
