Box Score DEERFIELD, Ill - The TIU Men's Soccer team earned their second consecutive victory of the season of Wednesday, shutting out the Moody Bible Institute Archers 5-0.

It was another strong performance for the Trojans on Wednesday with contributions coming from all over the roster. All 29 uniformed players saw the field, including five Freshman that made their Trojan debut. 

The Trojans got the scoring started early, scoring on their opening shot on frame just 45 seconds into the match, as Nathaniel Michaelis notched his second goal of the year, and his first of three on the day. MIchaelis wasn't done scoring in the first half, as the Junior put away two more goals for the Trojans in the 16th and 21st minute. 

Senior Joey Sanborn got in on the scoring as well, tapping in his first of the season in the 29th minute off of a cross from Wesley Ditchfield. Ditchfield finished the match with two assists, his highest single game point total of the season.

Angel Ramirez put the game well out of reach for TIU, heading home the 5th goal of the afternoon for the Trojans off of a corner from T.J. Cake. Cake added three assists on the game, bringing his season total to four which leads all players.

The Trojans get the weekend off before they begin conference play next Wednesday when they host St. Ambrose University at 4 pm on Schartner Field.
