Box Score DEERFIELD, Ill - It was a well fought battle for the TIU Men's Soccer team in their CCAC opener, but a late penalty kick was the difference as St. Ambrose defeated the Trojans 1-0 on Wednesday afternoon.

With the first half finishing scoreless and neither team really getting any opportunities on frame, the second half was a battle between both sides. The Bee's held the shot advantage going into the second frame, firing six shots with three of them on goal.

Late in the second half it was St. Ambrose who got their opportunity to take the lead late after a foul in the box gave the Bee's a penalty kick and Tom Greenwood made no mistake firing it home in the 84th minute. 

The Penalty Kick was the eventual game winner, as the Trojans were unable to muster any offense in the final six minutes.

TIU jumps right back into CCAC play as they travel to Elgin on Saturday to take on conference rival Judson Uniiversity at 1:30 pm.
